This is not a surprising list.It should be the top 20 and I think we would have them all in our eyes on there.I would like to see a poll for the top 10 Hitters in No.ky.That would be interesting one.

The list sounds right from an offensive perspective. Maybe the Enquirer should do a top ten list for defense too.

^^^^Bruns is a DB...not offensive player. He'd be one heck of a receiver though, IMO.

I think when it comes to best all around player, that should go to Chris Kelly. Kid plays every snap of the game and is considered the best player on the field regardless of whether it's offense or defense. Just an all around great athlete.

I agree. I know that each school has its favorites, and this is a Highlands dominant board, so we'll hear about someone on that team, but I'll take this kid all around over anybody in the area. He is a better linebacker than a running back, and he's the second or third best back in the area behind Elliot and Bradley, and even that is debatable. There is not a team that he wouldn't start for in NKY as a linebacker and I would venture to say the state. When he hits people, you hear it anywhere in the stadium (or on the hill if you are at Newport.) He has literally knocked out would be TACKLERS in consecutive weeks. People are coming up to tackle him and getting injured. Even more importantly, he is very, very, very rarely caught out of position on defense. He is a sure tackler and smart, instinctive player.

Kelly is definitely tough on both sides of ball. Obviously, Top 10 usually favors the offensive players because of the stats. Defensively, I think Ritter from CCH was one of the best in NKY and I haven't seen any CCH faithful mentioning him.

Not only defensively but also as a special team player! A lot of teams wouldn't kick off long to CovCath this season but instead squib kicked the ball, to keep the ball out of Paul's hands!
