Is Boone County Going To Get Another Head Coach?

Featured Replies

So thru 10 games Boone had almost as much passing yards as Ryle did thru 13 games?

By the way Ryle basically runs the same run offense as Boone, they(Ryle) just run it out of the gun.

GREAT POINT !!! The coaches are both "boone county" guys and they run the football. As i said earlier, only difference is Elliot! A couple years ago, the only difference was Ferris.

Hemple is also a major difference. His run threat was dangerous as well and Boone did not have a QB that posed a run threat even close to Hemple.

So now it is just talent that separates #1 in the district from #5. Okay??

In 2003, 2004, 2006, 2007, and 2008 was it only talent that made Boone better than Ryle?

To answer the question of the thread no, Coach Thompson will return as head coach unless he decides he doesn't want to coach.

The great OZ has spoken! Thanks for clearing up the rumors. Thompson returning is not the problem; Thompson returning with the same philosophy just might be.

A+ response!

I was only able to make it to 3 of Boones games this year, but one was Ryle, a lot better game than the score, the RB was a load to bring down, looked good. IMO only, you better look at the defensive backs, couldn't tackle or stop the pass. Defense wins ball games, and Boone struggled at it all year in the defensive back field.. This area MUST improve right away.

A couple of comments that leave me wondering what a "better game than the score indicates" game or a "near upset" is.. Ryle won by 3 TD's and Boone did not score or challenge them in the second half. Boone played one good half and that is not a good game as I understand football. It certainly was not a "near upset".
