Final from Paintsville.

They'll be talking about that 3rd down pass for quite some time in Paintsville.

Congrats to Birds on a tough win. Very nice game by JC also. For a team that does not pass the ball, JC picked up yards thru the air when they needed them, and if not for a drop, it would have been OT.

Nice game by both teams. Congrats to the Bluebirds

I think the passing game was to be Johnson Central's surprise for the Birds. They came very close to making it work.

Great to see the Birds contain JJ Jude so well. :thumb:

Hats off to the Birds D. Great scheme . Great pursuit. Great tackling. The difference for Jude this week vs last was that a)better tacklers and b)more people to escape once he got past the LOS. I think they ended up holding him to less than 100 on probably 25 carries.

Offense wasn't overly impressive for the Birds against a decent/not great defense.

JC's last drive started with over 8 minutes left and ended with 9 seconds left.

Congrats to the Birds. I still believe that wasted TO by JC after getting the first down on the drive was a killer. With no TO's left, it took the run possibility out of their hands on the last 3 plays.

Highlands fans thought Whitley was a treat for a trip two years ago, wait till they roll into Harlan County. Harlan plays a very interesting song to come out to...

Congrats to Highlands, whether people want to admit it or not they are pretty much the gold standard outside of X and T or in other word the real world.

How many yards is JJ have tonight?

Great game by both teams !!

I was listening to the pregame show on WSIP , coach Matney was talking about all the great athletes at Highlands , and the large area that Highlands draw from. (Is Ft. Thomas a large area ? )

I loved going to Whitley. They were awesome host and treated all Highlands fans very well. Looking forward to the trip to Harlan.

There would not have been an OT. JC would have gone for 2 , no doubt about it !!

That's just Coach Matney having built-in excuses like he did in 06 when they lost to CCH.

Ft Thomas is not very big.

Harlan is about a 4 hour ride. No easy way to get there.
