November 17, 201015 yr Same or maybe a little better. He is a product of a great team and the best coach/front office in the NFL.......... Tto say Brady is the same as Carson is insane. Also the best FO lies in Pittsburgh...
November 17, 201015 yr He just tore up the Steelers; slaughtered them I should say. That's proof enough that Brady is ridiculously talented. Not to mention he's throwing to Deion Branch, Brandon Tate, and Wes Welker. He just threw 3 touchdown passes to Rob Gronkowski for God's sake. Not to mention his best RB he's had was Cory Dillon. I understand that their O-line is very solid, better than the Bengals, but if anyone wants to sit here and say that he wouldn't make much of a difference on the Bengal's team then they're definitely not watching the Patriots every week. I never doubted his talent. I think he's better historically than Manning. I might even have him number 1 ever. I'm just saying he might not have beat Cleveland in Cleveland with the Bengals roster and coaches. He didn't do it with his own roster and coaches. The Bengals would have beat Cleveland if they didn't mess up the clock at the end of the half before they had a FG blocked. They might have won still if idiot didn't get a PI call on their final drive. It's all about culture. The Bengals are idiots from top to bottom. NE doesn't have idiots stay around very long.
November 17, 201015 yr Football teams are all about the organization. Find a team with good ownership, management, head coach, and GM, then you field a successful team, regardless of talent. The Bengals stink in all those departments. I say 4-5.
November 17, 201015 yr Brady could have won a title with the first team Carson and Lewis took to the playoffs. He could have easily done that IMO. That would be hard to tell. If Brady gets hit in his knee at the start of the game like that, then he definitely doesn't win it. No one will ever know how that 2005 would have done, because we don't even know how they would have done with Palmer. Palmer was playing great that year, and even started that game off great. So who knows what would have happened with any QB on that team. That is one thing we will never know. Which is kind of what brings us to all this. If the Bengals do make a run that year, and he never gets hurt. Then just him making that run that year, would have had many people not saying the same things about him. We just never will know.
November 17, 201015 yr C'mon. Palmer gave Indy 7 points last game and he's consistently turned the ball over. Besides that, Brady is 10 times the quarterback Palmer is. He's smarter, more mobile, more accurate, stronger armed, a better leader, and light-years better in close games. We have a winning record with Brady, IMO. If the Bengals had Brady then they probably don't lose that Tampa game, but besides that it is hard to tell. We don't even know if they beat the Ravens with Brady. The Ravens are a team Palmer has owned, so who knows there. The Colts game would have been interesting, he might not throw that pick 6. However if the Bengals offense was doing better that game, I think the Colts offense would have shown some more ergency and did better than what they did. I don't think the Colts ever thought they were in danger of losing and played like that. Not to mention Brady has something in New England he wouldn't have here. He has a line that can pass protect, and receivers that you know are going to be in the right spot. Because you know the coaches for the Patriots would make sure of that. So if he was here then I say the Bengals are 3 and 6, possibly 4 and 5. But not much better than that. However give the Bengals Billichek and Brady, and then the Bengals are 7 and 2. However vice versa, give Palmer Bellicheck and I think the Bengals are 6 and 3, or no worst 5 and 4. Brady is a better QB, however I don't think it makes 3 or 4 wins difference so far on this year. However a better coach does make a difference.
November 17, 201015 yr They would've won the Tampa game, the Miami game, the Indy game, and the Pittsburgh game IMO. No telling about the Cleveland, New England, or Atlanta games IMO. I'd say either 6-3 or possibly 7-2.

I'd say either 6-3 or possibly 7-2. Its hard to say the Pittsburgh game, considering the main reason they lost was special teams that day. As I said on the Indy game, it would have been hard to tell too. Just because I don't think the Colts ever really felt threatened all game by the Bengals. If the Bengals were scoring, I think the Colts would have played with more ergency on offense and probably did better than what they would have. The Bucs game, and Miami games your probably right. However Brady has had his fair trouble with Miami, so who knows. With different coaching we definitely win the Bucs game, because we wouldn't have even thrown the ball in those situations at the end.
November 17, 201015 yr That's taking an awful big leap there based on just one game. If the Pats are the best in the NFL, what does that say about the Brown Spots, who pounded NE into a brown spot? There is no clear-cut best team in the NFL this season. Who looks fantastic this week can look like a chump the next. Which carries more weight...a bad loss to Cleveland, who very nearly beat the Jets the following week, or a beatdown of the Steelers, who I've heard touted as the Super Bowl frontrunner more than any other team this season, at Heinz Field to boot?

If you watch the Pats every week, then you also will realize things would be much different here. In NE they have a system that is based on timing, and guys being at the right spot at the right time. That is why it can work with receivers who fail at other spots. They have receivers who at the right spots when they are suppose to be. Here in Cincy we know all to well, that receivers won't always be in the spots that they are suppose to be at. So he would struggle with that. We also know all to well, that our line is not even close to as good as NE's line. When you watch NE games, you say Brady literally stand there not moving waiting for someone to get open. He is not someone who moves around that much at all. Here he would be forced to move and get hit when he is throwing. And when has Brady struggled in his career, when he has had pressure put on him. So no he would not have this team 3 or 4 games better IMO right now. He is better than Palmer, so I give him the benefit of the doubt and say they probably win one or two more games right now with him. However it wouldn't be much more than that, unless you also took the coaching here to with him. Because even with him we still would have false starts, illegal allignments, etc.

The first paragraph is not my overall point; the second is.
November 17, 201015 yr Unfortunately, if Brady were the QB in Cincy, the Bengals would mysteriously start running the ball 85% of the time.

I'd say either 6-3 or possibly 7-2. I agree that they would have won the Tampa Bay. If nothing else, Brady would have audibled that horrendous passing play into a run. They could have won the Miami game. The Indy game may have been different, but saying they would have won is not recognizing the other mistakes that the team made (most notably Gresham's fumble at the end.) Also, they could have won the Indy game if TO put forth better effort. Sure, the pick 6 hurts but they still could have won with it. I fail to see how Brady would have impacted the Pittsburgh game unless Tom plays special teams. The bottom line is that, while Carson has not played all that great, he's far from the biggest problem on this team. How people refuse to acknowledge that is beyond me. Sure, CP has his flaws, but those flaws are magnified when the pass protection breaks down, the run game stalls, and receivers dog their routes or don't go after balls. And that does not even begin to address the problems with the coaching staff and front office which are the biggest flaws of this team.
November 18, 201015 yr I'm sure Brady is one of the highest paid QBs in the NFL. How does Carson's pay compare to Brady's?
November 18, 201015 yr I'm sure Brady is one of the highest paid QBs in the NFL. How does Carson's pay compare to Brady's? I think it's a difference of less than 2 million a year.
