If Brady were Bengal's QB, what would their record be?

Featured Replies

I heard this discussed on a sports talk show this afternoon. It got me to thinking. What does everyone think the Bengals record would be this year if Tom Brady were their QB?

Why not just cheer for the patriots makes it easier!

4-5 possibly 5-4. He also would have 0 titles if he played here his entire career. I'm not saying Palmer would have won titles in NE though.

Brady could have won a title with the first team Carson and Lewis took to the playoffs. He could have easily done that IMO.

I don't think he would have. Belichick (or Belicheat) has a lot to do with those SB titles.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but Tom Brady has not won a Super Bowl ring since Spygate. Coincidence? I think not.

^You are correct but I don't think spygate would have prevented Tyree from his miracle catch.

Super Bowl rings aren't easy to win. People act like they are, but Peyton is considered an all timer and he has 1 title and they got extremely lucky that year to win the AFC title game. Brady and Manning are top 5 all timers IMO and Roethlisberger could be if he wins another title or two. That's what gets lost some in the Palmer discussions. He has 3 great QB's in the AFC who are part of great franchises to compete with. One of which is in the division.

Could have and would have are vastly different. Palmer could have just as easily won one if he didn't get hurt. It takes some luck and IMO good coaching. They don't have a good coach.

He hasn't won one since they went away from their bread and butter. A ton of above average solid role players around the best coach and QB in the game. They brought in a couple big names (i.e. Moss, Thomas, etc.), and weren't able to get it done.

Now they're back to the type of team that won those 3 titles, and playing at an extremely high level. Coincidence? I think not.

Or, could it be that Brady is finally healthy again.....

Well, yeah, that helps too. :D
