3 bucks a gal for gas is back

Featured Replies

Its always nice to have a Kroger card and to get a $.10 discount at their gas station.

At this point, I'm not really surprised its going up as the holiday season is fast approaching. It happens every year unfortunately and will continue to do so.

If you have their Kroger credit card, you get $.15 off per gallon. I put my groceries and gas on it and earn money back quarterly. The key is, though, as with any credit card, that you need to pay the card off each month to truly see the benefit.

I'll bet you guys have a Speedway station there mucking things up with their daily price fiddling. With Bardstown, when the price goes up, it's very slowly. By the same token, they're also very slow to raise it.

Until the past couple days.

We don't have a Speedway and gas has gone from $2.79 slowly down to around $2.60 over about a week then will jump back to $2.79 over night. It's done that for several weeks now. The bottom line is they need to get gas away from speculators and out of the market.

It is usually cheaper at Richwood Pilot.

Let me guess, you like Snappy Pizza the best too. I am smelling a radio invasion here. Go SK.

It's been hanging between $2.65 and $2.79 for weeks around here; big jump today. I really Republicans don't know Boehner if there is anyone specific Cons to blame or not.

I'm guessing that at least from some can't imagine who members here on BGP, there will be close scrutiny of the progress and contributions made by the newly elected. What's good for the goose, and all that, I suppose. The occasional grinning smiley probably won't be enough in the way of substantive rebuttal to satisfy some.:D

Don't care to much for Snappy I love Papa Dino's pizza though!

Not really, as it has been slowly approaching that for a few weeks now.

Really? Purchased gas (with my Kroger discount) at my local shell station for $2.57 just last week. So in just about a week or a week and a couple of days, it went from 2.57 to 2.99.

Ours went to $2.85 last week and then dropped back down to $2.74 after the election.

See what electing Republicans did in a matter of hours?:D:D:D:D:clap::clap::clap::lol::lol:

Isn't gas supposed to go down in the fall and winter when travels goes down? No happening this year so far.

Not here it has went up .10-.20 cents since the election.

The slight (very) improvement in economic news probably contributes to this as well. If and when this economy gets going we will probably see it zoom past $3.

Thats what happens when you kill the dollar value.

3 dollars is the price of gas. Its only been at a discount because of the recession. You are correct when we start to pick up it will get in the 3.25 range.

FWIW, there was a refinery fire in the Chicagoland area. That's what they're blaming it on.

Paid 2.99 tonight at the BP in Bellevue.
