I will have to disagree with your assessment of the game though. The Camels won the first half by 5 with the starting rotation for both teams playing. The second half was a different story as both coaches played with a lot of different rotations.

Have to agree, not even close to 6'10 but much more aggressive than last year and indeed worked hard throughout the game.

 

The player that impressed me most for the Camels was #10. Smart young player, who moved very well with and without the ball. Name?

Simon Kenton started 3 Sophs, Ayers, Monson, Sampson, and 2 seniors, Gray and JR. I was impressed with the young Pioneers.

 

Doss is a JR not a SR. Doss had the first 8 points of the game for SK and 11 out of the first 15 points. They stopped going to him in the 2nd half, which is why his production decreased. Doss is still coming off a knee injury which he has been doing physical therapy for. Once he gets his legs under him...watch out.

Actually it looked more like they were trying to go to him, but couldn't. The freshman True from Highlands just finally got the hang of guarding him in the second half and was all over Doss like a wet blanket. Doss complained to the refs, and True backed off, for about a minute, then was all over him again. True had the first 4 points for Highlands, had 10 or 12 for the night, and more importantly never missed a shot. IMO the birds need to feed him the ball alot more.

Doss is a Jr but this will be his final season as he's too old to play next year. On True he still needs to develop de the post offensively but catches and shoots well for a big and best of all runs the floor very well. The Birds could be a matchup problem if True 6'5, Towles 6'5 and Stewart 6'7 are on the same floor.

He doesn't have eligibility for next year so as far as sports go he's a SR.

Yes, but only misses the cut-off by a few days. What bothers me about this is that he has only been playing basketball since 8th grade and has never not been eligible due to grades. The reason he can't play is due to decisions that were made in elementary school. There are other reasons here that I will not go in to, but I hate that because of a decision made when he was really young he only receives 3 years of high school eligibility. It's not like he was a kid that failed grades as some might think. He also was a Katrina transplant. I wonder if he would be eligible to play in his home state?

Not 100% sure but I would imagine the age restrictions for high school athletes is a National Federation rule and not state specific.
