Holy Cross: Jake Burger, Christian McClendon (top 10 in state for soph class)

Scott: Kellen Smith

Dixie: Parker Stansberry, Brandon Hatton, Matt Trammel

Stansberry of Dixie is a legit POY candidate this year, IMO.

This event should be a great way to get the season kick started. Thanks for all of the input.

Stansberry? Hes on nobodys top ten. Do you mean Trammel? Pike is one to watch as well. He should be ready to go after the Birds end their season friday night.

Stansberry is a legit POY candidate this year. Wait and see.

He was pretty solid last year for the Colonels as a soph and he's gotten bigger and stronger since last season. 6'5 kid that can play both inside and outside. Tough on defense too. He had 11 against the Dogs last year and held his own against JJ.

Guess we shall see but already there are too many cooks in the kitchen with Trammel, Pike and Hatton. He will get limited touches and that will make it tough to get POY.

Should be an easy game for SK!

Dixie will have more important things on their radar than any individual accomplishments.

I look for Trammel to provide the spark to that engine.

Look who rears their ugly head. lol

Go back to your stand up comedy in the football threads.

North Oldham - Devon Rowan is the player to watch. Began playing as a sub as an 8th grader, got more quality minutes as a freshman, and began starting last year. Wore #35 last year. Great hands; soft shot; much more mobile than he would appear. Greatly improved his FT shooting last year, going from "instant miss" to nearly 70% FT shooting. Also greatly improved his footwork, which enabled him to start avoiding fouls.

#1 is freshman David Levitch. Haven't seen him in person this year, but he was a rail-thin wisp of a kid last year - with deadly shooting accuracy from the outside, good ballhandling skills, and amazing court savvy. He was the third-leading scorer for North last year - despite coming off the bench about 1/2 the season - and should be one of the top scorers this year.

#23 is the other North player I'd watch. Senior Max Steinfeld showed an ability to be a tremendous "utility" player - score when needed, rebound when needed, etc. Averaged less than 10 ppg, but was on a team that typically played 11-12 a game; showed ability to penetrate and score.

Be leaving in a few to catch the Cru vs Tigers game and to watch all the other games today as well.

Anyone else plan on attending?

I personally think the girls game between HC @ WV, just might be the best game of the day!

Besides being a great day for basketball fans, the proceeds go to a great cause! Kelsey was indeed, a wonderful young lady!

I dont have the ability to see all the games but will be there for the nightcap and possibly half of the CovCath game. Keep us posted TOG on all the games if you have the capability.

I will be there around noon.

Heading to the Holmes/Scott Co scrimmage at Grant Co at 3:30 but plan on stopping up SK afterwards to catch a few games.

Beechwood Vs St Henry Updates

1st quarter Beechwood 15 St Henry 14

2nd quarter Beechwood 24 St Henry 28

Score is reset at halftime

3rd quarter Beechwood 8 St Henry 14

4th quarter Beechwood 14 St Henry 36

HC girls to be without Beal today as she was on a crutch at the football game last night.
