Not a single HHS person said SK. I say Trinity. If you based that opinion on another thread, you need to pay attention. I started the thread based on "The Bulldog" saying HHS is ducking SK. It had nothing to do with Trinity. It is all about HHS trying to schedule SK next year and for years to come. Start a separate thread with just HHS/Trinity and see where it goes.:thumb:

Both would be great. But if I had to choose as the thread ask. Yes, Trinity before SK. Now if you ask me: Simon Kenton vs. Highlands or Conner, Copper, Campbell, Louis. Eastern, etc. Vs Highlands, I would say Simon Kenton.

Trinity vs Highlands for sure SK isn't going to have another good team for a few years IMO... I don't know who they have returning..??

 

So you're just guessing? Is 5 straight winning seasons the cap that you're assuming SK is capable of, after which they just return to a 2-3 wins a season type of team? If so they sure did waste ALOT of money on the upgrades to the stadium as well as the new field house, weight room etc.

Sure they are wanting to play us now with Simpson at UK and Chad graduating this year. Heard Taft or North College Hill needs a game next year.They won't play Trinity in a real game.:lol:

 

How many state championships has SK ever won? Highlands is 25-1 against SK all time. There is no history to your program and SK has never won anything. Are you really proud of winning NKY 6a? NKY 6a has never won a state championship.

 

Do you really think a team that was ranked on many polls as a top 10 team in the country would really duck a lowsy Simon Kenton program? I don't think so.

 

As far as Trinity, I have heard from multiple reliable sources that Highlands and Trinity have tried to schedule a game, but they could not find a date. You know this and everyone else who pays attention on bluegrasspreps knows this. So we can move on from that.

Pretty sure that's not entirely true. Maybe Neerfan can help but I thought there were also private donations made for SK's new facilities. Not all but atleast parts.

Let me make this bold prediction. SK will not be hosting a first round playoff game for the next two years. They will not regress where they once were, but their lower level in school talent pool is very average right now.

Why? I just want an explanaition as to how these predictions are being made. Do you guys follow the feeder programs: South Kenton, Summit View and Twenhofel? Have you been to the JV games(although I don't think they put much effort into the JV games, which perhaps they should)? I just want to know why all of these bold predictions are being made that a program that has had 5 straight winning seasons are just going to go back to how they were for the majority of the first 25 years of the programs existence.

 

Saying simply that their talent pool is going to drop off without explaining how you know this to be true gives your posts about the same credibility as what your favorite SK/UK fan says.
