Is OLV a Cincinnati private?

How did Holmes look throughout the tourney and who did they beat to get to the finals besides Highlands?

Our Lady Of Victory - Catholic school from west side of Cinti.

Holmes has a very good point guard (Boland) and on Saturday both of the big men played. Poetter and Covington are the best combination of inside players at the 8th grade level in Northern Kentucky. Some teams can match up with one of them, but handling them both is tough.

Holmes beat Campbell County, then St Joe Cold Spring, then Highlands before falling to OLV. St Joe matched up the best with McDonald and Heil and played the Bulldogs really tough. HMS is just too guard oriented and can't defend the paint against the bigger teams. They even get smaller when Hoge returns from his injury (broken wrist).

Northern Pulaski lost to Casey County who got beat pretty bad by Southern Pulaski in 6th grade basketball. Southern may be the team to beat in the 6th grade middle school state.
Southern (Southwestern) 6th and 8th beat Northern Pulaski tonight. 8th won big and the 6th won by, I think, 4.

Anyone know anything about Bowling Green's 8th grade middle school girls' team?

Ockerman 8th grade beat Beechwood 49-27. Borkowski and Mayberry had great games and Stockwell played great under the hoop.

And in 7th grade action I believe Beechwood beat Ockerman by 4.

Ockerman 6th beat Beechwood by about 15.

Ockerman 7th lost to Beechwood by 4 or 5 in a game that went down to the wire.

Does Braden Combs play on Beechwoods 7th or 8th grade team?

Didnt know Beachwood had a 6th grade team?

Twenhofel 6th and 7th beat Camp Ernst last night. Not sure the score of the 7th but the 6th grade won by 16. Also heard Turkeyfoot 6th beat RA Jones and St. Agnes 6th beat Woodland.

Last season the mods asked that we post scores in a weekly thread to avoid a thread like this one becoming so lengthy.

There is a week 1 NKMSBL thread for scores from the N Ky area.

Beechwood does not have a 6th grade team, I believe the 6th grade Ockerman boys play the CC B team last night.

That is correct. Thanks for correcting my error.

Northern Pulaski 6th. Will be very good. Same kids from generation next AAU that won every tournament they played in last year that was in the state.

No it's not the same kids....some of the kids from Generation Next are in 5th grade.
