November 7, 201015 yr Walton-Verona went 6-0 at Lloyd this weekend. It's early and all 3 teams looked rusty and a little sloppy. But, overall it was a good chance for them to get out and to play some competition. 6th grade played: Tichenor and Gray 7th grade played: Tichenor and Ockerman 8th grade played: Tichenor and Summit View I'm glad the season is getting started. Walton-Verona's season starts Monday night against Summit View. What was the final score of the WV, Gray game? I left at halftime and Walton was doing a very good job at dealing with Gray's size (they are huge).
November 7, 201015 yr Got to see a lot of the 6th grade teams play this weekend. Conner, Walton, Twenhofel, and Summitview all looked pretty good. Gray was huge and will be a force later in the year, Woodland was loaded with guards but could use one of Gray's bigmen. Did not get to see Ockerman and a few others play.

November 8, 201015 yr Walton 6th grade did a good job running their plays and motion offense (very well coached). They looked like they've been in the gym for awhile and a step ahead of Gray in terms of running plays, etc.. There was some good basketball talent on display during the 6th grade scrimmages. It should be a great season!!!

In the second game of the night, Our Lady of Victory defeated Holmes in OT by 3 I believe and in the nightcap Highlands struggled in the first half before pulling away for a comfortable victory over St. Catherine. Games tonight include Campbell County versus St. Henry and St. Thomas versus St. Joseph Cold Spring.

November 11, 201015 yr Any more results from this past weekend or last night at the HMS tourney? 8th grade Ockerman and Gray both got beat up by Lex Cath. Ockerman's stand-out Stanley has a serious injury, didn't play. 7th grade Gray boys went 2 - 0 (vs Lex Cath, then Woodland.) They have 2 BIG guys plus some other good kids. They are a team to watch.
