His INT was a desperation "no-other-option" pass so we'll give him a pass on that one. He kept SK in the game single-handedly on offense.

 

He didnt have another option at that point but they didnt score either. Being hurt doesnt help a team win either. There are plenty of cases where being hurt can lower the chances of a player winning an award. But like I said before there is not 1 player that definately stands out.

Very tough for Highlands players to win these awards. Highlands does not exploit one particular player or players especially on Defense. These awards dont win State Championships for the Birds!! Individual sacrifices do. Go Birds 20n10

Last year Highlands left Roller on the field all night in every game regardless of score. So that says to me that Highlands definitely saw Roller as their best defender last year. I haven't seen all of Highlands games but aren't they doing the same thing with Seidl this year? I have no problem at all with Highlands doing this and I do think Seidl is their best defensive player. I am just saying that I think Highlands does "feature" their best defender, at least in this manner by leaving him on the field at all times.

For me, Seidl is the front runner on the defensive side.

 

I will add to those lists on offense, Brun - RB - Dixie and on defense Geisler - DT - NewCath.

There isn't anyone in NKY that is clearly better than anyone else. I would say Lawrence but he didnt show up for the Middletown game and threw a pick in OT against Ryle. Pike could be up there due to his importance on offense and defense. Should be interesting to see how this shakes out.

 

Travis Elliott is clearly the best RB.

Not knocking Geisler, but he might not be the best DE on his team. Morse is a player

I would think Holmes' WR Peterson would be worth including on the list of top offensive players.

All due respect to the Birds and others but Elliott and Lawrence get my vote for the two best individual players in this area and I do not think that it is close.
