Lawrence and either Kelly/Baldwin

Wow. Tough call. Everyone of these players make such a big impact on their respective teams.There's probably five more players or so not even mentioned. Pick one.

I am starting to lean towards Lawrence as offensive POY in N. Ky. It isn't often that one player can carry a top level winning 6A team but Lawrence is doing that this year at Simon Kenton. With no help from running back and an offensive line that is shaky, Lawrence puts points on the board every week for the Pioneers against very tough competition.

The Simon Kenton fans will not be happy thinking of Lawrence that way if it means the Pioneers will mimic Fran's Vikings teams. I think your comparison may be on target on both levels - individual and team.

Like I said in another thread Lawerence is SK's whole offense. They go as he goes. If SK doesn't have Lawerence they wouldn't do much. He is extremely elusive and makes things happen when there is nothing..

For me, Seidl is the front runner on the defensive side.

 

I will add to those lists on offense, Brun - RB - Dixie and on defense Geisler - DT - NewCath.

 

I agree, all deserving players, IMO I think Oppenheimer from Boone deserves A lot of consideration for offense. Putting up good numbers under the circumstances.

I agree that all players mentioned are deserving of this award . There might be one or two that are not mentioned also.

 

I've never been a big fan of individual awards given out for a team sport , but , that's just me. Early congrats to all !!
