Nope. Every time I watch Alonso bat, it's 3 pitches and back to the dugout.

We'll just have to disagree. There's nothing to back either of us up except our own opinions.

A rule change, new under the current Collective Bargaining Agreement, allows a team to replace an injured player during the middle of a series, so long as another player at the same position replaces him. Additionally, a player replaced in one post-season series may not be brought back for the following series.

So if a player is replaced in the NLDS, and then sits out the NLCS, can he be brought back for the World Series?

That, and a major league manager's opinion...

Like I said, the reason for them having Francisco over Alonso is because Francisco can play more positions than Alonso. Which I don't know if I agree with. Francisco has proven to be a pretty terrible 3B and probably isn't much better in the OF. Has nothing to do with their ability at the plate. Which, IMO is stupid because they can replace someone mid series due to injury.

Is that what Dusty said? I have a hard time believing they view Francisco as a utility player. What other positions has he played? First?

Looking at the prices that people are willing to pay on Ebay for game 3 tickets is insane. Someone just bought 2 seats 3 rows behind my seats for $650.:scared:

Yes, that's what Dusty said.

I'm pumped because I have Bengals AND Reds tickets. It's going to be a LONG day.

Your daily double of the 1:00 Bengals game at Paul Brown Stadium and 7:08/8:07 Reds game at Great American Ball Park is impressive. But, this BGP crew is a pretty tough crowd. To establish your bone fides, you are going to have to roll up the riverfront trifecta with the 5:00 show at U.S. Bank Arena:

That's the way I interpreted RondoRules' post. :thumb:

Only if I can buy a beer in one of those Disney mugs & take it into GABP with me.

I hate to post this, but it's too funny not to. Forgive me if it's offensive to anyone. Sue me.

Yesterday, my wife's uncle passed away. He has had multiple illnesses, Vietnam vet who has had a myriad of issues. He was in his late 60's if I'm not mistaken.

His viewing at the funeral home is today at 5:00 for the family. So, I'm venting to KounDog over my issue. His reply: "He's not gonna get any deader, now if you are able to go up there and revive him that's another story, but dead is dead" And with a 15 year playoff drought that is making tons of sense to me. However, he made me swear an oath that I wouldn't tell my wife that it was his idea.

KounDog is a smart, smart man.

If I die and the Reds are in the playoffs, you better skip my funeral...

That's great. Thanks for the info. Looks like Koun Dog is buying at BW3 tonight.

Out of 20+ "experts" on ESPN, only Pedro Gomez has the Reds beating the Phillies...He has them losing to the Yankees in the World Series...
