That would be great, but what I really want is to see the Reds win the World Series at home. All 3 of their World Series clinching wins in my life time have come on the road. To be at GABP to witness the Reds winning the World Series would be the ultimate high for me. The good Lord could take me home right then and there.

I hope for your sake they win it at home, but the good Lord leaves you here too. It's pretty exciting stuff just thinking about the possibilities.

The Reds roster for the NLDS is set, with the exception of the last spot. If Edmonds is able to go he'll get it. If not, the spot will go to Juan Francisco.

Here is the roster:

The pitchers: Edinson Volquez, Bronson Arroyo, Johnny Cueto, Francisco Cordero, Arthur Rhodes, Nick Masset, Aroldis Chapman, Logan Ondrusek, Bill Bray, Homer Bailey and Travis Wood.

The positions player: Joey Votto, Brandon Phillips, Orlando Cabrera, Scott Rolen, Jay Bruce, Drew Stubbs, Jonny Gomes, Ramon Hernandez, Ryan Hanigan, Chris Heisey, Laynce Nix, Miguel Cairo, Paul Janish and Edmonds or Francisco.

Major League Baseball announced game times for the rest of the National League Divisional Series today. We already knew that the Reds and Phillies would kick off their series tomorrow at 5:07 p.m. on TBS, and that Game 2 would be Friday night at 6:07 p.m. on TBS.

Today, MLB let us know that the time of the first Reds home playoff game in 15 years would be either at 7:08 p.m. on TNT or 8:07 p.m. on TBS. The Reds play at 8:07 if Yankees-Twins series ends in three games. We also have a time for the Monday game, if necessary. That makes the NLDS start times look like this.

That sucks. No chance I can make it to game 4 now...

Edit...

I have a conflict with Monday's game (Game 4), but I think the baseball game will become my #1 priority.

I'm pumped because I have Bengals AND Reds tickets. It's going to be a LONG day.

Monday will be a LONGGGGGGGGGGG day.

Monday will be fine. There will be plenty to talk about & little work being done.

True.

The 11 pitchers are very solid. No superstar aces, but a major upgrade from what we have seen in Cincy over the recent past. Even if Edmonds opens as an active, between he and Nix, it is very likely that Franciso finishes the playoffs on the active roster.

If Edmonds can't go, I'd much rather have Alonso on the roster than Francisco. The reason they gave for Francisco was that he could play 3rd in case Rolen got hurt. Well if Rolen got hurt you could replace him on the roster mid series. Otherwise Francisco will only be used as a pinch hitter and IMO Alonso would be much more productive in that role.

Are you sure about that? I didn't think you could replace an injured player mid series.

Not 100% but I'm pretty sure I read you could. Has to play the same position though.

A rule change, new under the current Collective Bargaining Agreement, allows a team to replace an injured player during the middle of a series, so long as another player at the same position replaces him. Additionally, a player replaced in one post-season series may not be brought back for the following series.
