September 26, 201015 yr I would tend to agree some of it might have been luck not everyday Batch leads a team to 38. But lets be honest that was just complete dominated all over the field.
September 26, 201015 yr The rest of the division has to be a little concerned to see the Steelers start off 3-0 with Dixon and Batch at quarterback. I think it is the Steelers division to lose this year. That's what worries me. I think most people had them pegged to struggle without Big Ben. Either way they've got three wins without their starting QB, and that's huge.
September 26, 201015 yr I said before the season, and will continue to say it, if the defense stays healthy, they'll be a playoff team. If not, doesn't matter if Ben is playing or scoping out a high school homecoming dance.
September 26, 201015 yr Author I marked this one down for a loss 4 weeks ago and not saying I have changed that, but Ravens didn't look good against Cleveland.
September 26, 201015 yr You exposed an average football team. I think TB is much better offensively. Defensively they're severely lacking. But they were able to move the ball pretty well on their first few drives. The recovery by Ryan Clark of the Williams fumble took all the wind out of TB's offensive sails, especially when Wallace caught the long TD pass a couple plays later. I don't think it will be a walkover when TB plays its divisional foes.
September 26, 201015 yr The men of steel are back. I can't wait to see them embarrass the Bengals on Monday night in a couple of weeks.
September 27, 201015 yr Author The men of steel are back. I can't wait to see them embarrass the Bengals on Monday night in a couple of weeks. The only game I care about is the next one... The Raven game will be a big test for the Steelers.
September 27, 201015 yr Pittsb...I mean Troy Polamalu is the best defense in the league IMO. Steelers defense without him....kind of average. Steelers defense with him.....maybe the best in the league. He's single-handedly the best defense in the league. When I saw that SI picked the Steelers to win the Super Bowl I'll admit, I laughed and thought it sounded ridiculous. Not anymore, and I'm happy to say that I was wrong. I don't know if the Steelers fans will be celebrating in February or not, but I do think they have to be one of the frontrunners, especially since Big Ben has not even played a down yet.
September 27, 201015 yr Defense is healthy and there have been major transformations in the area of special teams. Last season the Steelers donated a kick return every 12 minutes of game time.
September 27, 201015 yr Author Defense is healthy and there have been major transformations in the area of special teams. Last season the Steelers donated a kick return every 12 minutes of game time. Healthy, along with the addition of B-Mac has helped this Defense.

Through 3 weeks of the season he is the MVP of the league. Not just defensive MVP.
