Lot of 2nd or 3rd string QBs playing today. Some not doing so poorly. Pitt. seems to be pretty stong.

Since joining the Steelers eight seasons ago, quarterback Charlie Batch has started five games -- and is 4-1 as a starter.

I think TB is much better offensively. Defensively they're severely lacking. But they were able to move the ball pretty well on their first few drives. The recovery by Ryan Clark of the Williams fumble took all the wind out of TB's offensive sails, especially when Wallace caught the long TD pass a couple plays later.

 

I don't think it will be a walkover when TB plays its divisional foes.

Probably not, but the Bucs are really young. They will get the wind knocked out of their sails quickly and believe the terrible press clippings until they get experience. Veteran teams don't let adversity side track them. As I listened to the game, it was evident when the wheels started coming off.

 

I had to call 911 at 5 am Sunday morning for an ambulance to take my father to the hospital. He was having a cardiac event, so they took him to St. Joseph's, which is just up the street from RayJay. He is fine now, by the way. Later that morning, once he was stabilized, out of ER, and in a room, I had to go home and get his essentials for the hospital stay and had to negotiate my way through pregame traffic around RayJay. All I saw was Steeler gear. Not a Buc in the bunch.

 

The game was blacked out again and on the news that night, they showed the crowd and the Pittsburgh fans definitely out numbered the Buc fans. Evidently Friday and Saturday, Steeler fans bought up most of the remaining tickets for the game. I heard Walmart sold out of little yellow towels.

First off, I'm glad your father is doing fine now.

 

As for the game, I think the Bucs will be better this year, not playoff contender, but will be close. I also heard that the crowd was around 60/40 Steelers fans. Not sure how true that is, but Steeler fans do travel well.
