Correct on both. They do wear the ties as a way of honoring Mr. Cooper. And yes they do have around 20 coaches.

As a friend of the Cooper Family I say that is a great way to show respect for Randy Cooper. I hope it continues.

I didn't get to see this game, but from what I have been reading both teams played their butts off. The thing that I haven't seen anyone on this thread actually mention is that maybe Cooper might be a lot better than people even think. I get tired of hearing that this team or kid had a bad game. Not saying this doesn't happen, but this is usually more of a cop-out. Here's a thought........maybe Cooper created match up problems for Ryle. If anyone thinks that the Ryle kids didn't want to stomp them into the ground, then your crazy. The other thing is that Ryle is the only team from Northern KY to even play a close game with the best team up here, HIGHLANDS, so I wouldn't say that Ryle is overrated. Highlands might even be the best team in the state.

So far anytime Cooper has played close with a good team (Holmes and Ryle) or they have blown out an ok team (Lloyd and Scott) Cooper has been degraded by people saying that the teams they played shouldn't have a program, or the program is in shambles, or that a team like Holmes isn't for real because Cooper played with them. Maybe... now bear with me on this... Just maybe, the kids work their tail ends off to prove to NKY that they should be a team that people worry about. Maybe Cooper is good enough to play with the big dogs of 6A and blow out the teams they should blow out. I don't know just my personal feeling on that. Give the kids credit for working hard and choosing to improve instead of back down and get their tail ends kicked.

Agree, except for the "effort" part. I don't know that I saw anything out there that looked like a lack of effort. Lack of execution certainly, but not effort. I don't think Coach Warner, Woolf, Hardin, and the other coaches are the types to put up with a lack of effort. If they see such, you can be pretty certain those players would be removed from the game immediately. :thumb:
