Who is your Heisman vote as of...

...week 3?

Surprised there isn't a thread like this already, but let's hear it. Who after three games would get your vote?

Here are some names: Denard Robinson, Kellen Moore, Ryan Mallett, Terrelle Pryor, Mark Ingram, LaMichael James, Taylor Martinez, Randall Cobb? Just a few..

Any vote that isn't for Denard Robinson has to be called into question....

Him & Ryan Mallet are my two favorites for the award. Mallet has a chance to take the lead if they can beat Alabama on Saturday. Arkansas has lost 3 of the last 4 times they've played the #1 team, but I think they've got a great shot this weekend.

I'd go:

1. DRob- He's been the best player so far and he's putting up video game numbers.

2. Ryan Mallett- He's putting up video game numbers and if he can beat Bama this weekend, I think he has to be 1A.

3. Andrew Luck- He's got Standford undefeated and he's putting up some nice numbers including 10 TDs with No picks.

4. Terrelle Pryor- Dude has been very good and he has a great chance of being undefeated when the votes are counted, which helps.

5. Taylor Martinez- TMagic hasn't thrown for much, but his rushing stats are outstanding and he plays on a legit Big 12 and National Title contender.

Lamichael James doesn't get a vote from me because he missed a game, and in that game his back up put up similar numbers to what he has done. I think everyone there is a product of Chip Kelly, but that's obviously JMO.

This is my true vote.

I disagree. While his win may have been devalued a little bit since Week 1, Kellen Moore's victory against Virginia Tech was vintage Heisman. Robinson has been amazing and would probably be my vote, but let us not pretend he is head and shoulders above the rest.

At this point in Mallet has to be in the conversation. I think Robinson is the leader but not by leaps and bounds.

Way to early to even talk about the Heisman. The majority of teams have not even played a conference game yet. I think the discussion should start about week 7 after we have had half of the season to evaluate these players. I will go out on the limb and say in my opinion everyone's frontrunner right now will not even be in the discussion come November. Robinson has had a great start to the season but will not continue to put up those kind of numbers for two reasons. Michigans schedule is back loaded and the defenses he faces are far better than what he has seen so far and the second reason is that there defense will be on the field the majority of the game since they are so bad and they are going to be playing against ball control offenses. Last year at this time everyone was hyping Tate Forcier for the Heisman. Its a 12 game season, if it was a first 3 game award, Robinson would have my vote to.

I was about ready to post this same exact thing. 1 year ago at this time, Tate Forcier was the front runner for the award. I am not sure he has completed a pass since

Noted...

If you're basing it solely on the season to date, I think he is head and shoulders above the rest. He's leading the nation in rushing as a QB and averaging over 200 yards passing with 4 TD and 1 pick.

If you project his numbers over the full 12 game schedule, he is on pace for 2236 rushing yards @ 7.6 ypc and 16 TD, 2684 passing yards @ 69.7% completion rate with 16 TD and 4 Int.

There's a reason they wait until December to give out the Heisman. It's highly unlikely, nor does anyone expect it, that he will continue to produce at his current rate. But, right now, his numbers are crazy good.

I don't think he'll win the Heisman because I don't think he can keep up his current pace, and I don't think Michigan's final record will be good enough for him to win without insanely great production.

Robinson rushed for a TD on Michigan's first possession. He might rush + throw for 6 TDs today.

And a 47 yard run. This guy's unbelievable. 2 rushing TD's and 82 yards in the first 5 minutes of the game.
