I completely forgot about Bloomquist. He's a much better option to pinch run. Leake or Wood would probably be #2 anyway.

The Reds keep drawing me back in. I'm going to give it one more shot. The Reds pull off the biggest choke job in baseball history as they lose tonight and their final 8 games and the Cardinals go 8-2 to force a 1 game playoff. The Cards then beat the Reds for the 14th time to win the Central. :sssh:

Is the book on Votto to throw fastball strikes early in these clutch situations? It seems to me that he always gets behind in the count in these 8th/9th inning situations. To his credit, he still gets the bat on the ball and often gets his hit even getting behind in the count.
