Track the Reds ( 2nd Half, Week 11)

We need the NL West team to win the wildcard, so that we won't have to play Philly in the 1st round. LRCW is mistaken.

Yes, I wasn't thinking. I was thinking we would play the Phillies if we finished with a worse record than both the Giants and the Padres, but those two teams obviously can't play each other in the 1st round.

Ballgame? In the 7th inning? Man, you'd think somebody who has watched so many games this year would realize that the Reds are never out of it.

I've watched the Padres bullpen enough this year to know the Reds won't score off them. Adams and Bell are lights out.

Not complaining, just wondering. I was wondering why Chapman didn't start the 7th before Rhodes entered the game. Rhodes is clearly hurting. His overall body of work this season has been outstanding, but it's painfully obvious that he's on his last leg...literally.

I assumed Chapman would handle the 7th as well, but you gotta figure those two guys would get the job done when you put them in the game. Just didn't happen tonight.

Bases weren't loaded. He walked his 1st batter, then fell behind the 2nd so that he had to groove a fastball to Tejada.

I see, I flipped over the a different channel for a minute.

You got that right.

That was the 7th.

How often do watch them when they're not playing the Reds?

That was the 7th.

Yeah, that's what he said. We both thought Chapman would start the 7th, but he did not...

I know. I'm saying when the 6th was over, I assumed Dusty would bring in Chapman. Not leave in LO, followed by Rhodes and Masset. When Rhodes comes in with one out in an inning with nobody on base more often than not he'll get the job done.

Wow...this ump sucks.

Absolutely!!! He is horrible tonight. Totally inconsistent. That pitch he just called a strike was further outside than the one he just called a ball.

A lot. I didn't subcribe to MLB Extra Innings to watch the Reds.
