Track the Reds ( 2nd Half, Week 11)

Let him steal the base.

Generally I would agree but when you're facing an guy like Bell, you have to swing at that. Phillips hit it hard.

Struggling down the stretch big time.

And it is on the offense. The pitching has been pretty good throughout the month.

I don't think we lose this game in the playoffs. In the playoffs, the bullpen will be much shorter. Ondrusek, Chapman, and Cordero. Rhodes & Bray as situational lefties. Sir Arthur is not healthy. The man can barely walk.

I agree I have been wondering why we keep running him out there when we could have sat him down 2 weeks ago to try and get healthy for the playoffs.

Well CC I hope you get a chance to show your stuff tomorrow.

Down to 6.5. Carpenter will beat the Cubs tomorrow and the Padres will beat the Reds to get it down to 5.5 games.

Masset?

Seven games this month where the Reds have scored 2 or fewer runs. Three other games where they scored 3 runs for a total of ten games this month with 3 or fewer runs.

When did the Reds call up Chris Burke?

.238 Avg, .319 OBP% in 248 AB's (66 games) for AAA Louisville this season. Not exactly worthy of a call up.

Spindoc is pathetic for turning in early on a Friday night.

Couldn't figure out why you were giving his numbers against Bell.

Masset?

Yup, thought I had Masset in there. I'd go with Ondrusek in the 6th if you need him, Masset in the 7th, Chapman in the 8th, Cordero in the 9th. Bray and/or Rhodes as situational lefties. If Rhodes is honest with Dusty & his foot is feeling fine, then my opinion may change. But at this point, I am basically ruling Arthur out. He's only thrown 3 1/3 innings in September anyway. In Aug., he really struggled. Legs are too important to pitchers, and Arthur only has 1.

Matchups would take precedent, but that's generally the rotation I'd go with. For example, if there were 2 lefties leading off the 7th, I'd switch Chapman & Masset.

I might be an hour late. :D

You can also add Crash to the list.
