Why?

If the Braves win the Wildcard, we'd have to beat out the NL West Champs for 2nd best record in order to avoid Philly in the 1st round.

If NL West team wins the wildcard, we'd play an NL West team in the 1st round.

We need the NL West team to win the wildcard, so that we won't have to play Philly in the 1st round. LRCW is mistaken.

Masset couldn't throw strikes. Everyone knew he was bringing the heater there, but I didn't expect it to be right down the poop chute.

So why does he think the Braves need to win the Wild Card?

Ballgame. Masset has struggled his past couple of outings.

He came in with the bases loaded I wouldn't really lay the blame on him.

Ballgame? In the 7th inning? Man, you'd think somebody who has watched so many games this year would realize that the Reds are never out of it.

Why didn't Chapman start the 7th?

Are you really going to complain? Rhodes and Masset, aka the two best relievers the Reds have had all year, gave up the lead.

He walked Eckstein to load the bases.

Bases weren't loaded. He walked his 1st batter, then fell behind the 2nd so that he had to groove a fastball to Tejada.

Not complaining, just wondering. I was wondering why Chapman didn't start the 7th before Rhodes entered the game. Rhodes is clearly hurting. His overall body of work this season has been outstanding, but it's painfully obvious that he's on his last leg...literally.
