Mayfield down 10-7 at half at Graves County in front of 7000 fans!

 

Huge second half for Jonathan Jackson and the Cards! Total domination in second half! Good 1st half for Graves County in this cross town rivalry.

Big win. Big second half. I think the starting 11 held back the first half to make sure they could see what it was like to play the 3rd and 4th quarters!!!:idunno:

Mayfield scored 36 unanswered points in the second half begining with takingthe opening drive down for the go ahead score and never looked back. Halftime dicussion was taken to heart I suspect. J Jackson was unstoppable on both sides of the ball and at times didnt seem to even need 10 other team mates to help him. Amazing game for the super sophmore

Graves had repeated 3 and outs in the second half until late in the game when it was all over but the crying. Massive crowd overflowed the stands on both sides with large numbers of people standing in the corners

Yep, the light switch definitely came on at halftime. 2nd string gave up the last touchdown of the game with a couple of minutes left.

7,000 fans?! Wow, that's awesome. Sounds like a great night for high school football.

I will say this ... I've been to some Mayfield-Graves games and while they do draw a lot of fans, the attendance tends to get exaggerated by the locals.

I wanted to make sure was not the only one thinking that. I am not sure how it could accommodate that many people.

Both sides were wall to wall in the stands and there had to be at least 1000-1500 standing all around the track, not to mention all the kids playing behind the endzone track. I don't know how many the stadium holds, but, it was definately a sellout. I'd think 7000 would be a close estimate, at least.

I am going to guess that there were 5-7,000 fans there. Graves homeside seasts 4,000ish, visitor side with the extra bleachers that were moved in had 1,000 and then the standers espically in the corners estimated by UKfball fan at 1-1,500. Of course I am guessimating and maybe in left field

They did until about three years ago, when Graves built their own on-campus facility. Graves hosted the game last night.
