What gives? Is Ironton that good or Ashland that bad?

WOW! What happened???

Every time I start thinking one of our teams from northeastern Kentucky is special, something like this brings me back to reality. Seems like Ironton left little doubt. I look forward to watching this one on TV later to see how in the world Ironton did this to Ashland. I assume they just overpowered them up front. Maybe someone who was there can fill us in. I really thought Ashland was better. So much for my football knowledge.

I think you are right. They got their butts kicked up front. At least thats what I herd on the radio and from a friend who went to this game.

Ironton thoroughly dominated in all phases of the game. It was clear that Ironton wanted this game much more than the Tomcats. Good luck the rest of the way to Coach Hart and his Cats.

Ashland was pitiful with a capital P. I agree with Ashland Oil. Ironton dominated from play 1 to the last play. They gave Ashland a complete, and thorough beating.

Suprised by the spread of the score am I.

I heard Wilkes ran wid.

It looks that way. I'm watching it on TV now (Time Warner Channel 24) and he's already gone for two 60-plus yard TD runs. I thought Ashland was a fast team, but they either didn't have anyone who could catch him or the ones who might have had a shot at catching him are getting blocked.

They didn't contain him at all tonight. I'm still trying to figure out where the defensive ends and cornerbacks were tonight. They got sucked up inside I don't know how many times.

I am anxious to see how good Ironton is this year. I know they play Jonathan Alder (Plain City,OH) on Oct. 1st. Alder has been an dominant contender in D-IV for several years. I think anytime Ironton dominates a KY school they seem to be really good.

I guess this score answers the question of Ashland being a contender or pretender and a serious threat to Dixie, Covcath, or Highlands.

As was I, Jedi Master.

Was this game played at "The Tank" or Putnam?
