CCH wins by double digits.

56-28 in favor of the Colonels. Beechwood doesn't match up well enough up front to run the ball, and Ritter and company shut down the passing game. Bir throws at least two touchdowns to Connelly. CovCath's Oline dominates a smaller Beechwood front. Beechwood scores a touchdown or two late in the game against to make the final score a little more respectable.

Doubtful the tigers give up 56 points ^

I think the Colonels win by three scores.

After 4 games, Covington Catholic seems comparable to Dixie. Has Beechwood improved since the Dixie game? I would say yes. Are they 2 TD's better than they were against Dixie? Not sure. The young Tigers are still inconsistent as evidenced by the up and down halves against Holy Cross. It will still take an excellent effort for 1A Beechwood to beat a good 5A CCH team. Win the turnover battle and don't give up the big plays, and the Tigers have a chance. Beechwood is definitely the underdog as a 1A team always will be against any solid 5A team, but the Tigers have a chance of they can finally put it all together.

CCH is not that good for a 5A team, but I do think they will beat Beechwood by two touchdowns.

QB is a problem area for the Tigers....

I disagree had a good first half last week. Just needs to put a whole game without mistakes.

He is now looking at just more than the first read. He will be fine later in the season.

Predict a close game with CC winning by a couple of scores.

Absolutely agree! Who knows, the answer "may" just be on the sidelines.

Covcath by around 3 td's.

Colonels aren't outstanding, but good enough to beat the Tigers by a score of 35-14.

Maybe I'm a softee but posts like the above are too much. I have zero doubt the kid is doing what he's told to and playing hard. To label him as "a problem" is over the top especially knowing kids read this board.

Say you think that the qb position needs to get better. Say you're curious as to how the backup compares. The "problem" part is too much IMO.

Agreed Clyde. The QB has improved every week and had several very nice throws in the Holy Cross game. All he needs to do now is eliminate the interceptions and learn to either tuck and run or throw the ball away when a play breaks down and he will be right on track. It is his first year as varsity QB so there is a learning curve. As long as he keeps getting better each week and eliminates the INT's, Beechwood will be in good shape at QB. And there is a good option on the sideline if things go the wrong way but there will be a learning curve at the varsity level for him too, as we saw in the Highlands game.

I missed it, sorry. What did you see from him in the HHS game?
