My basis for thinking that CCH should win handily has nothing to do with 5A v 1A. It has to do with what I've seen.

 

I do seem to remember years when BW did beat CCH and CCH went onto win a state title.

 

True, in 1994 and 1997 Beechwood beat Covington Catholic and Covington Catholic went on to win a state championship. And so did Beechwood.

 

In fact, now that I think about it maybe CCH would feel better about their season's hopes if they lost to Beechwood. In 2005 and 2006 Beechwood beat Newport Catholic in the regular season and they went on to win state championships. And you have 1994 and 1997 where they did the same to Covington Catholic. Maybe losing to Beechwood in the regular season is a good thing for the Catholic schools.

Ain't that the truth!!! I never realized how important the Krogers lot was for Beechwood games till they started that construction project.

If so, then since Beechwood nor HHS have any parking for the football fans at their schools, CovCath should do what La Salle does and only allow CovCath season ticket holders to park in the school parking lot, then NDA and St. Agnes could charge $4.00 to park in their lots.

Whoaaaa! Back the bus up there my friend. Last I looked, Beechwood and (you brought them up) HHS are "public schools" and there is plenty of "public parking" in both areas. Just walk a little. Sounds like some folk are spoiled and want to park close to the gate. LOL!!!

1. I have heard nothing about charging for parking at Beechwood Swim Club. Check your source on that info. I will be shocked if they charge for parking. The swim club is very open to allowing parking there. Students at Beechwood are parking there every day because of the shortage of parking at the school during all the construction.

Per email which stated a parent had called the president of the swim club about parking.

It stated that it was ok to park there but it will cost you $4.00.

According to Superintendent Glenn Miller, Beechwood has more parkings spaces now than they did prior to the construction of the new elementary. That does include the 20 or so spots on the gym side of the school.

 

The game has always been at 730pm on my schedule. Then enquirer has it at 730 and I'd be willing to bet they would not have updated their site if it was a change.

:lol: Now that's funny. And true. I didn't think about the tailgating. I was just thinking about parking. So, if you want to tailgate, get there early. If the school lot is full, I guess you go to the swim club and pay the $4 if they are charging to park. Last year the Highlands tailgaters got there early and had no problem setting up shop in the Beechwood school lot, and parking in the school lot was tighter last year than it is this year.
