If I knew what Richie Farmer stood for I might be more inclined to change my opinion. But I'm far too fearful no one will ask him tough questions because all they care about is he played at UK.

 

Which is exactly why Williams chose him. Williams isn't too popular, Farmer is. No matter how tough the questioning, how bad he looks, Williams can point to Richie and call him Lt. Governor and the people will vote.

I just might move to south central Kentucky if Williams wins, if just for four years. The amount of pork and fat headed there if he gets Governor would increase my quality of life right off the bat. I'm surprised the people of Burkesville are allowing this because if he loses, their money faucet gets turned off.

The sad thing is that Williams is the only person in Kentucky that I would NOT vote for over Abramson. I think I am going to abstain out of disgust in the upcoming election.

Richie is pretty smart. He has every UK fan voting for him. He doesn't have to take a stand on anything. He just has to make yard signs with a basketball going through a net. If you go to thier web-site you will see the name WIlliams Farmer with a basketball between the two names. I think it is a great move.

 

Now what does that say about people in this state? Every member of BGP knows that they will get thousands of votes because he played basketball at UK. We wonder why our state is near the bottom in education, industry, and any other catagory out there.

There's no bigger piece of political garbage in this state (and that's saying a LOT) than David Williams. I'd vote for a bowel movement for governor before I'd vote for him.

You would think. But people clicked McCain because it said Palin beside it and people will click Williams because it says Farmer beside it.

You have a point and a lot of truth in it and they will and have played that card. On the other hand I take exception to the notion simply because one is a "UK fan", they will vote Candidate X/Farmer. That is really insulting the intelligence of a lot of people. The reverse could be said about non-UK fans. Simply because he played for UK, people will not vote for Candidate X/Farmer. That is as equally as insulting. People have been running on past non-political accomplishments since campaigning began.

 

I am most likely voting for Beshear and it has nothing to do with Richie Farmer's jersey hanging in Rupp. UK fan here.
