Mayfield completely dominated from the start. Had 350 yards of offense at halftime. Good win for the Cardinals.

Mayfield finishes with 442 yards. They scored on all six drives of the first half. Luke Guhy was 13-21 passing for 232 yards. Higginson had 7 catches for 100 yards. Trigg held to 105 yards -- just 35 yards against the first team defense

Another dominating performance by Mayfield, I can understand why the coaches think this team is better than last year's.

Utter and complete domination, Mayfield looks good or Marshakk and Trigg are worse than expected

Mayfield looks very dominate on defense. The offense doesnt look to bad either, scoring every time they have had the ball in both games, in the 1st half. If this team gets any better it will be down right scary.

Wow, Mayfield is looking to be an unstoppable force.

I believe the first team is now like 13 for 13 on 1st team offensive drives and thru two games have ONLY given up about 65 yds total!

Way to go Cards!!

Can't edit the quoted post so I wish to make clear that Marshakk is actually Marshall

Mayfield's final scores don't tell the whole tale ... the Cardinals led Marshall County 43-0 a minute into the second quarter and had Trigg County down 21-0 after one quarter and 38-0 at the half. I was told that they have had seven or eight different players score touchdowns so far.

Westsider, thats the difference in this years team from last yrs...Last yrs may have had a little more explosiveness but basically got all there yards from X.Shelton and T.Murrell. This yrs team has so many kids they go to and have very little, if any, drop off. Also, a big difference is the line play. All but a couple of kids back that played any signifigant minutes on both sides of the ball and these kids seem to have gotten bigger and stronger and they werent bad to start with, plus, now they have alot of starting games and experience under there belts...Really a good ballclub this year with no noticible weaknesses...
