Leslie Co. will be a hand full for the SC team,they are hands down the best team in this region.We didn't feel going into our game that they were a very fisical team ,but found out very fast that this was far from the truth.They have very good team speed and have a back(#3) that has more moves than exlack.Their QB is a athlete,he lines up 7-9 yds deep in the shotgun and has days to throw,they block the crashing ends very well,as does their large line,they move well to be that big.Their recivers run very good routes,and if they see that #11 is getting heat, will come back to the ball.#11 can thread the ball like a needle and if you can't put pressure on him ,you're in big trouble.SC will have trouble containing him,he rolls out well and can burn you on the QB keeper,he loves the sideline fade routes and he can put it on a dime if given time. VERY ACURATE!! Their best running play against us was the counter,#3 will leave you grabing at air,he may not have blasing speed but his side to side movement is second to none.I may get some heat on this but IMO, This team will beat Belfry by 20,if you don't have a great secondary you will not beat this team.They line the QB up so deep in the shotgun that the defense,even if you have a great pass rush,has plenty of time to hit his recievers.The best film to scout this team with would be the Bell game, Try to copy their lead!!! SC is on a roll but Leslie isn't going to be pushed around in Hyden, SC fans need to show up for this one because you'll see a good one.

Great assessment Glacier! BUT to say that Leslie is a 20 pt better team than Belfry is insane. If following Bells strategy is what a team needs then I see both Sheldon Clark and Belfry being able to do that. Im not bashing you or Leslie but until they beat a team who is actually good then Ill hold my judgement on the Eagles. I, honestly, think a Leslie/Belfry regional finals would be quite an interesting ballgame. Do I see Leslie beating Belfry? Quite possibly. Do I see them beating Belfry by 20 pts or more? No way. I could be wrong but I think this Cardinal team can hang in there. You cant teach size and desire and this SC team has both. My head says Leslie by 10-14 but something tells me that SC could pull the upset in OT 34-28.

Sheldon Clark won the Regional Championship 16 - 15 at Belfry in 1998 before losing to Jared Lorenzen and Highlands in the State Semifinals. They lost in the second round in 1999 and in the Regional Championship in 2000 to Rockcastle County. They lost at Bell County in 2002. This was when they were in AAA. They lost in the second round at Middlesboro in 2003. That was their first year in AA. They didn't make the playoffs in 2001 or 2004.

A good game by the Cardinals and great job by the O and D lines. This was a nice win for the program but now its time to focus on next week. The O-line and D-line will have to not only continue with a repeat preformance but step it up another step so the Cardinals can advance again. Keep up the good work and dont let up.

The game will be won in the trenches. If Leslie's O and D-lines can hold their own against Sheldon Clark's huge O-line then I think that Leslie will win this one. Man this offense can score in a hurry.

Leslie's D is the fastest it has been in a very long time, not only that but they are big as well. SC does have a big line but Leslie's DT's are just as big, and the ends are big and fast as well. Leslie's MLB's will hit anyone and are both very,very tough players. The OLB's are great as well. Our secondary doesn't care to hit either. The same can be said for SC and i expect to see a slobber-knocker in Hyden next Friday.

Not to mention they beat Tim Couch and Leslie CO. at the Rock in Inez...... Great game... I was standing five yards away from Couch as he tried to bootleg a run in on fourth down and goal..... He was stopped on the 2 yard line.... SC has always had a tough D....

Ask Shelby Valley's coach what he thought about Leslie's line. After the game he told our AD that this was the best line they have faced all year. You can't teach size but you can teach technique and fundamentals and that is the part of the game where Leslie's line excells and I commend them for the job they have done thus far. Let's only hope they can keep it up.

SC hasn't had to face the LC line yet. This game will be a great game, but I think deep down we all know what the outcome of this game is going to be. With Ryan Howard, Daniel Day, Bj Young, and Riley Hendrix, LC will be unstopable. Not to mention with the passing Quenton does and the O/D Lines, SC is going to have to pick it up a notch.
