I am sure Sheldon Clark is big and strong, not taking any thing away from them. Leslie is also pretty big, stong, wants it, and is peaking right now. If the Eagles keep doing what thier doing this game will never be in question. I say Eagles follow suit and TAKE this one.

Great assessment Glacier! BUT to say that Leslie is a 20 pt better team than Belfry is insane. If following Bells strategy is what a team needs then I see both Sheldon Clark and Belfry being able to do that. Im not bashing you or Leslie but until they beat a team who is actually good then Ill hold my judgement on the Eagles. I, honestly, think a Leslie/Belfry regional finals would be quite an interesting ballgame. Do I see Leslie beating Belfry? Quite possibly. Do I see them beating Belfry by 20 pts or more? No way. I could be wrong but I think this Cardinal team can hang in there. You cant teach size and desire and this SC team has both. My head says Leslie by 10-14 but something tells me that SC could pull the upset in OT 34-28.

The only way Sheldon Clark or Belfry will even stay close is to control the ball. Belfry will have to put together long drvies because Leslie will score at will! Is Leslie a 20 point better team then BHS and SC yes! # 3 is the quickest back in the mountains!

Yet another bold statment from an apparent Eagle fan. You people have me really stumped. Leslie has one good year in who knows how long and included in that year is not one win over what I would consider a quality team. YET some people seem to think that Leslie will have a cakewalk to the regional championship. Wake up people. Even when you had the greatest player in your schools history on the field it wasnt a cake walk. Ive never been one to say I told you so but sometime in the next two weeks I have a feeling you will be hearing "I told you so", DOUGHBOY!!

There is no doubt that Leslie will be the favorite against Sheldon Clark. They should be. They are the higher seed. However to wrecklessly claim that you will beat the two-time defending state champions by 20 points is nuts. You better focus on beating Sheldon Clark which I think is a much bigger challenge than some folks think.

That statement wasn't made by a Leslie player/fan. It was made by a player of a team that Leslie beat. I can guarantee you that the boys will be ready for the challenge of Sheldon Clark and not be looking ahead.

GO EAGLES!!

Leslie's D is the fastest it has been in a very long time, not only that but they are big as well. SC does have a big line but Leslie's DT's are just as big, and the ends are big and fast as well. Leslie's MLB's will hit anyone and are both very, very tough players. The OLB's are great as well. Our secondary doesn't care to hit either. The same can be said for SC and i expect to see a slobber-knocker in Hyden next Friday.

A challenge makes the game that much better. Right? :thumb:

SC hasn't had to face the LC line yet. This game will be a great game, but I think deep down we all know what the outcome of this game is going to be. With Ryan Howard, Daniel Day, Bj Young, and Riley Hendrix, LC will be unstopable. Not to mention with the passing Quenton does and the O/D Lines, SC is going to have to pick it up a notch. Leslie wins this one, 47-24

So confident Leslie will win?

Leslie unstoppable?

Leslie 47-14?

All you do is fuel the fire my friend!

Want to know something funny?

The Leslie - Middlesboro film, about 10 minutes had been cut out. You guys might not be so worried, but it seems the big man in hyden might be a little. Certain plays on offense, and there wasn't even one FULL defensive series.

SC comes in blindfolded and plays smashmouth 100%.

This will be a game to remember.

Of Course everyone is confident Leslie will win, but S.C is playing with alot of heart this year --smash mouth football...

good luck to S.C. on Friday Night :thumb:

I don't think either of the people who posted Leslie by 20 are actually Leslie fans. Now I happen to be a Leslie fan, and I don't know if Leslie is a 20pt. better team or not, but I do believe that this year Leslie is the better team in this game as well as (hopefully) the next.

No it was a SV fan they are mad at us over Senior Night haha cause we warmed up on the field. But Belfry played an awful game their no intensity Leslie would be 20 points better than the team that played Valley that night but so would about anyone.

But this should be a good game good luck to everyone. I acorss am rooting for SC cause they have a Belfry coach. But may the better team win. SC has alot of class and LC will enjoy playing them and Im sure LC has alot of class to!

I love it how every week SC seems to be the underdog. Last week people said SC would lay down because of Breathitts name on their jersey. Sheldon Clark is not afraid to play anybody and their boys play with heart. I've watched them. They are a good team when everyone plays with intensity and heart. Friday night is gonna be a great game. As for the blowout predictions, not gonna happen.

I will be the one to tell you " I told you so!" No ofense to anyone on here. Just stating my opinion like everyone else. Some people get a little crazy about their team. I look forward to seeing the outcome. Good luck to all remaining teams!

It would sure do my heart good to see Leslie Co. lose big!

:dancingpa

Good Luck Sheldon Clark!

I went to school with Coach Hager and he is a great guy, so I will be pulling for the Cardinals to get the win.
