The very book (Koran) they worship from dictates hatred and violence. How in the world could anyone embrace those beliefs? Personally, that's where I draw the line. By letting them build a house to worship, it's like non-Muslim Americans are endorsing their deplorable beliefs regarding hurting fellow human beings because of where they come from (Westerners).

Comparing the Bible to the Koran is like comparing Apples and Baseball imo. Where in the Bible does it condone violence on a particular population based on where they reside?

 

You certainly need to spend some time in the Old Testament. If you believe it is God's literal word there is one place where God tells the Psalmist and His people to kill all of the little children of community by bashing their heads against stones. He also tells an army that once they have secured victory over a "particular" people that they would be punished if they did not kill ALL of those people, including the women and children.

More importantly, both are Abrahamic religions. Join them with Judaism and you have three good religions out of one heritage. All worship the God of Abraham. We actually have much more in common than we have different. We just refuse to see it.
