Reds or Cardinals... Who's Better?

Featured Replies

Everyone keeps talking about Pujols....let's not forget the Reds have a MVP candidate too in Joey Votto, who is putting up better numbers right now than Sir Albert.

We also seem to forget that Chapman will eventually be up which gives the Reds another solid arm in the bullpen.

I'll take Chapman, Rhodes, and Coco in the 7th, 8th, and 9th any day of the week.

Pitching wins championships and the Reds have plenty of it.

You keep saying that about Votto, but the numbers are nearly identical. Neither has better numbers, but continue to think whatever you'd like.

In favor of the Cardinals? Come on....

Clearly better? Come on now.

Joey is a stud, but I wouldn't say his numbers are better then Pujols.

Pitching will win championships. I don't think the Cardinals are really lacking in that either...

Neither really has a huge advantage statistically but it's nice to see Cincy with a player on the same level as a future HOF'er.

Phillies, Braves, Reds, Cardinals, Giants, Padres. Two of those teams won't make it to the playoffs, it's rather sad, that two of these teams that have had nice seasons will end before the post season.

Reds, Cardinals are seemingly dead even. That's apparent because they have been doing this back/forth thing for what seems like months, I can't see it changing anytime soon.

And it's also nice to see Cincy ahead in the division in early August and getting national attention.

Who is going to be a free agent this year for Cincy? I think the Reds could be even better next year if they bring everyone back and the young players continue to develop.

Your right, Votto's numbers are clearly better than Pujols.

I just can't help but wonder that if by some chance the Reds miss the playoffs, would Pujols get the edge because his team got it done?

The Reds are up a run tomorrow night going to the ninth... 3-4-5 due up for the Cards. Who do YOU have on the mound?

Cordero, and that's exactly who will be out there.
