August 13, 201016 yr Me and a good friend where talking about this last night. And I will have to give him the credit. But this is why I believe St Louis is the better team. Cincinnati is 22-26 against teams with a winning record this season and that counts games against the Oakland A’s and New York Mets, who are currently just .500 teams. Take Cincinnati’s 6-2 record against those teams and the Reds are 16-24 against teams with above .500 winning percentages. And another thing, Cincinnati is 14-22 against probable National League playoffs teams so far this season, but an impressive 42-24 against teams with losing records this season. And beside that the Reds have Dusty Baker as a manager. Good thing Cincy plays the easiest schedule in the NL the rest of the way.
August 13, 201016 yr And while they have come around as of late, the Carpenter/Wainwright duo has not been as strong as they could be. You couldn't be anymore wrong... Wainwright is having by far his best season of his career and Carpenter is having one of his best as well.

August 13, 201016 yr Wainwright could very well by the Cy Young winner this year. Not bad for your #2 guy! I think post season experience counts for something too. With all that being said I just think the Reds are going to win their Division.
August 13, 201016 yr The reds outfielders need to start hitting better. They all strike out too much and really don't hit with enough power. There's only 2 hitters (Votto,Rolen) who I have faith in to deliver in crunch time.

But I hope he can be. :clap: It would be great for the Cards. Two of the top 6-8 pitchers in the NL and they have not been at their highest potential? I hope they reach that the last 1 1/2 months.
