June 29, 201016 yr Cabrera has hit .265 with 3 HR (he only has 3 on the year) and 15 RBI in the 2-hole. He's played 21 games there (83 AB's) and has scored 10 runs. Walked 6 & K'ed 8 for an OBP of .301. His average is 20 points hire in the 2 spot (as opposed to leadoff [.236] & 6th [.241]). So you disagree with your own point??? :lol:
June 29, 201016 yr So you disagree with your own point??? :lol: Not quite. I posed a question, then took some time to research the numbers. While I was at the game I was only looking at the averages. Have been busy lately & haven't had much time to follow the Reds as closely as I typically do. But, the thought of moving Bruce up in the order crossed my mind, and the only guy who I can envision moving out of the top 5 is Cabrera. Despite Cabrera's average numbers, I like what he's done this season. I would not mess with the lineup, barring some type of collapse before the All Star Break. I'm just thinking of ways that the Reds could improve. The way Jay Bruce has been stroking the ball, getting him more at bats could help. Bruce has hit .315 with an OBP of .344 in June (it was .387 in May). June's numbers include 2 HR & 10 RBI. His BB:K ratio is horrible (5:22), but he's a much bigger threat than Cabrera. I'm content with the lineup for now, just pondering what tweeks may work.
June 29, 201016 yr Cards won 6-5. I can't picture how this play went down but the ESPN.com boxscore says that 2 runs scored on a fielders choice groundball to first base. I was at the Cardinal game. what a gift from the d-backs. Throwing error on bunt got the first run. then throwing error at home got the other two runs home.

We all love our Reds and that's what is important. I like those who are passionate about what they love. That Diamondback giveaway will keep me up til about 4am this morning. I had already counted that gain of a game tonight as the equalizer for Wednesday's loss to Halladay. Now, we probably start the roadtrip in second. Crap....

He only has 13 extra-base hits. –LHP Donnie Joseph is a name to watch. He was the third-round pick in last year’s draft out of University of Houston. He started the year at Dayton. He’s now at Lynchburg. In the two stops, he’s 2-2 with a 0.92 ERA with 69 strikeouts and 12 walks in 39 innings. Opponents are hitting .142 with no home runs against him. -Aroldis Chapman has struck out five and walked one in three innings since moving to the bullpen.
