FamilyTradition
HHS beat CovCath with the pass and run. I know LexCath is a much better passing team. Will CovCath be able to stop LexCath highpowered offense????
Wildcat
LexCath's strength is QB Burke running; if CovCath stays disciplined in rush lanes, LC will have trouble because they cannot run the ball like HHS did Saturday. CovCath can make them one dimensional, outside of Burke, who has committed to NC State by the way.

I thought he was highly touted as a gun slinger. I think it will be a very interesting matchup. All I know is I'm glad they get to find out before us. It very well may wind up being a shoot out. oldonetechnique
I am not sure if you want to call LC one dimensional they have one of the best backs in the state Shane Israel he is small but runs hard, fast and is elusive, just concentrate on the pass and see what happens. but that together with Burkes ability to run and you have a team that can run the football. I was impressed by him, but I think CovCath will make them one dimensional; I think CCH is too physical up front for them.

Burke is unbelievably explosive with his feet; I think he runs better than he throws really; actually he throws best on the run. I did wonder when I saw him if he would run that hard against someone like CCH; if they both win, we will find out. What were his numbers against St. X?? jbwill2
At this point, I just wonder what impact psychology has on this matchup. LexCath typically cannot get past either CCH or HHS (and has never gotten past both), and I wonder if this has any impact on a potential LexCath-CovCath game in round two? THUNDERBIRDS
And Highlands must get past W Jess as well. One and done fellas, you must play each game like it's you last game. Work hard and take care of business!!
MAD DOG
I think that HHS will expose the QB as not a true DIV. 1 Player. I have seen him play a handful of times and IMO he is not a Div. 1 Player????? HHS - 28 lc -
UNDERTHEBRIDGE
Lex Cath was not as one dimesional as in years past. The line has held up well most of the season allowing Israel ecspecially to run very well. Against St. X he was pretty amazing getting a lot of big gains all day. I haven't seen the team play since but I know he hasn't slowed down much since except for bit of an injury midseason. Burke also is dangerous with the run, as well he can move in the pocket, make time for himself and either throw or run. Still Knights got to have confidence. I know my senior year a few people seemed to let our inability in third round games shake them for awhile. We managed to beat Cov Cath but lost to Highlands by a TD in a good game. I'd say these boys just got to keep their heads on them and perhaps I'll finally get to see a Knights game after Thanksgiving day.

From everything I've been told about Burke, he's the real deal and that's coming from some folks who know a lot about talent including the Ru himself!!! I do think he is better running, and better throwing on the run than sitting back in the pocket. He is an extremely explosive athlete.
