Yes, he is. I would have loved to have seen him play at Rupp. I enjoyed watching him the few times I was able to see him play.

He will be playing baseball for Morehead State. He is actually a better baseball player than basketball player and have heard some people say he has MLB potential.

From what I gathered, yes he was. Quarterback I believe. He's kind of throwback athlete in this modern day age of specialization. Kids like him are rare anymore. I read a good story about him in the Herald Leader a couple of weeks ago.

Pittman honestly outplayed Thomas. Epley is the biggest suprise to me is he kept Thomas in check the majority of the game. It was really nice to see Evans and Watts come out and play very well. Would have loved to have seen Sewell play tonight, but could not due to team violation. Thomas Jackson left the team after the game tonight. The one thing I noticed tonight was towards the end of the game when Johnson is bringing the ball up out of control, Justice stayed away from the ball. He is our Mr.Basketball PG, he has to go and get the ball. If he goes and gets the ball right there KY pulls the upset. I look to see Vance Hall play some PG tomorrow with the loss of Jackson so look for Hall to backup Justice tomorrow. Beating IND in IND is going to be tough, but I could not be any prouder of this KY squad. Way to make us proud, but now try and win this next one. Play smart down the stretch and make big plays in the closing minutes.

 

Pittman also had a nice dunk in traffic over Thomas off a no look pass from Johnson. (Seen in the highlights above)

 

Not bad for a kid who some said will never play D1 basketball just a few days ago because he talks trash from time to time on the court.

BTW, I found the following comment very interesting when reading the game story on nky.com:

 

......Listerman said after facing Pittman and Johnson in so many close high-stakes Holmes-CovCath games, he enjoyed coaching the duo.

 

"I pulled them both aside before the game and told them how proud I was of them," Listerman said. "... I wanted them to know that as an opposing coach - after they beat my tail the last three years - I was proud of how they've grown and developed. They're great competitors."

 

For an opposing coach of an intense rivalry to pull two young men aside and make a comment like that just shows how much class Coach L really has and what a great guy he is.

Word in the stands concerning the young man removed from team prior to game was that he was playing host to a guest in his room that was in no way affiliated with the Kentucky All-stars.

 

Word after the game on the the young man who is no longer on the team after the game was said to have just "went off" in the locker room as a response to the loss...pointing fingers, blame game, self-centered type of stuff.

Typical Kentucky All Star drama. It never ends!!!!! Players making the team that dont even show at try out. Guys getting suspended and quitting. Guys taking their shoes off in scrimmage games. It goes on and on!!!!!!!

I was really proud of the KY kids. They gave a huge effort and had a great opportunity to win.
