Indeed, it is important. But is making a turn around jumper or 15 footer the same as a free throw, difficulty wise? Again, check out Thomas' fg percentage and get back to me. When he actually got a look or shot, he wasn't making it.

 

I'm not trying to take away from his game because his play and reputation speaks for itself. My point is, you make it sound as if ALL of his points came on Pittman, which would be false. When Pittman stayed down in the post the first game, he turned out 11 pts and 8 rbs. Second game he floats around the perimeter offensively and doesn't reach double digits.

 

And FWIW, from the folks who were actually there, I hear that Thomas "struggled" the most with Pittman defending him.

And for the record, Thomas has always taken a lot of bad shots. Despite that, his stat line is also always impressive even though his FG% is a lot lower than it should be. It's why he stayed in the middle of the 5 star pack instead of battling for the top spot...

Indiana HS's just play a different brand of ball than KY teams do. I'm not surprised at the outcome of either game, though it would be nice to see KY when some of the time.

 

Indiana just has more talent in basketball. Thats just the bottom line. Indianapolis has so many people and top-notch athletes. Plus for whatever reason Louisville doesn't produce the basketball players they used to and its our biggest city.
