Track the Reds (Week 9)

Someone tell Welsh to mute his mic during the postgame.

I loved Welsh talking about what the players do on off days earlier in the game. He stated that announcers will play golf, preferable "Full Scholarship Golf". Everyone loves "Full Scholarship Golf". Will be enjoying that at Triple Crown tomorrow!

Arthur Rhodes is flat nasty. He has been in the league for 19 seasons (did not play in 07). His ERA his first 5 seasons 91-95 was 5.69 with a 17-24 record when he was primarily a starter for the Orioles. From 96-current as a reliever his ERA has been 3.36 with a 64-39 record. I would say someone made the right call with the switch.

It'll be interesting to see what the staff's ERA will be with Hanigan on the DL. Not off to a good start so far.

I am afraid Bronson is going to really struggle with him gone.

What was up with the HD broadcast today? I had a different crew calling the start of the game and when I turned back it was the Reds crew.

I'm afraid if they drop this one, we may be watching the genesis of a significant slide.

Didn't you say that when we lost on the GS to the braves?

Yeah I had the Cardinals crew to up till about the 6th inning.

Big win for the Reds tonight. A win over Carpenter tomorrow, and whoever post, "And this one belongs to the Reds" first, after the last out is recorded, and I'll buy the new book "The Wire to Wire Reds" as a gift for them. Reds.jpg

Arolisdis Chapman went a season-high seven innings and allowed two runs on four hits. He walked three and struck out five. He threw 88 pitches, 51 strikes.

It's getting closer to Chapman in Cincy in my opinion. 2 runs and 10 hits in his last 17 2/3 innings. His control of his off speed pitches has been much better.

Defintely an exciting game tonight. Rollen is certainly on fire, and it was nice to see Votto come back strong.

Every game there is a chance for a win...be nice to get one off of Carpenter tomorrow.

Rolen has been great, almost like the glue of the team. Reds picked Cueto up, hope to close it out tonight!

Did anyone hear the stat on Cordero, only six 1/2/3 innings so far this season, he sure makes it interesting.

Joey Votto 1b

Scott Rolen 3b

Was that Corky with the big Stache I saw in the dugout?
