May 30, 201016 yr Yeah, you guessed it..... The Bush administration, so says Pelosi. The Obama administration, on the other hand, is blameless. “Many of the people appointed in the Bush administration are still burrowed in the agencies that are supposed to oversee the [oil] industry,” Pelosi said when asked if Democrats could have prevented or mitigated the crisis by keeping a closer watch on the industry. Added the Speaker, “the cozy relationships between the Bush administration’s agency leadership and the industry is clear…I’ve heard no complaints from my members about the way the president has handled it,” Pelosi stated.
May 30, 201016 yr I think it's the Professor's fault. He should have known that hollowing out coconuts and getting Skipper and Gilligan to pedal the coconut mud into the hole wasn't going to work.

May 31, 201016 yr I blame stupidy for not having a plan for this in case it happened. It happened and we have no plan. I also blame BIG OIL and GREED.
May 31, 201016 yr Aren't we all worthy of a little bit of the blame, every time we pull up to the pumps or every time that we demand cheap gas? Edited May 31, 201016 yr by Birdsfan
May 31, 201016 yr Well if Jimmy Carter had gotten his way we could have been running our cars on sugar cane like Brazil does.
May 31, 201016 yr Well if Jimmy Carter had gotten his way we could have been running our cars on sugar cane like Brazil does. And that would be bad because ...?
June 1, 201016 yr I don't know who to 'blame'. But I wish I could figure who was really in charge. The person acting the in the role of POTUS comes on and says the government is in charge and has been since day 1. But no one else talks. There is no identification of the operation owner who is 110% dedicated to this problem or what their team is made up of - Navy, industry leaders, other oil producing nations resources, etc. It has been said that the Saudis deal with leaking oil all the time and they use tankers to pull up the oil and seperate it from the water inside the tanker. Where are the tankers? The governor of LA tried to set up barriers to protect the marshlands but had to wait for 'impact studies' to be done - so the oil has now penetrated the marshes. The only people on TV are BP people. If the government has been on this since day 1 with a dedicated team - where are they? Where are the daily updates? Where is the crisis management team? Who is in charge? - and the answer to that better not be Obama. Is anyone from the government in charge? Go enter this into Google - "leading clean up of gulf federal government". No one person or single organization pops up. The POTUS news conference the week was a complete fraud. Edited June 1, 201016 yr by Bluegrasscard add "this"
June 1, 201016 yr And that would be bad because ...? It would have been geat. I also blame Haliburton, ran by or sort of by DICK CHENEY
June 1, 201016 yr When will this blame game nonsense end? As soon as real journalists stand up and refuse to continue to report the Obama talking points!! So possibly never, or at least until the "tingle" quits running up their legs??
June 1, 201016 yr Well if Jimmy Carter had gotten his way we could have been running our cars on sugar cane like Brazil does. And you could buy them, like then, at about 30% interest rates??
