Steve Hensley is the new athletic director at Campbell County.

 

I believe he is from Cincinnati.

Not sure why it would surprise people if Campbell County had good year. Biggest school in their district with top notch facilities.

 

For Campell County to take the next step they have to be able to consistently beat the teams in their district. Brossart and Scott lost a lot to graduation but they have the same staffs in place. CC also lost a lot to graduation and will be bringing in a new coaching staff.

 

How does CC stack up against Scott & Brossart going into next season?

Steve Hensley is a 1st class individual who restored some football creditability to the Ludlow football program after 3 years of 0 and 10 records under previous coaches (M. Borchers and B. Parrish). This should turn out to be a good hire for the Camel program. Good luck Coach Hensley.

The Camels should stack up well in their district. They return 2 seniors and 1 soph who logged significant varsity minutes last year. Add to that the return of a couple other seniors who did not play last year and a strong junior class and the Camels should do pretty well. The Camels key strength will be depth as they will probably go 10 deep. The key question will be post play. Seniors Joe Franzen and Josh Graff will need to be difference makers down low.

37th District is always interesting and the coaching change at CC just adds a little more flavor to the district. District has different coaching styles and philosophies. CC has to be able to beat Brossart in a tough grind it out game and then be able to run with Scott. They did not have a lot of success trying to run with Scott last year.

 

Scott has been successful in the district lately because they have been able to win both types of games. Carr has been able to make adjustments and win with both styles.

 

Will be interesting to see what style Russell plays once season begins.

Third in District at best after Scott and or Brossart but my Royals and Clark will be tough

Can't remember exactly what Scott has coming back, but CC better get Brossart this year, as BB has some talent in the younger grades. Guessing Scott will be favored, with BB & CC looking to knock them off. Lots of developmental possibilities for both Campbell and Brossart will tell the tale of their seasons IMO.

Did the Camels get any assiatnt coaches haven't heard nay names. Someone mentioned an ole girl's coach Tom Russell? I haven't heard of him.

More of the same I hear they never get anyone outside the fellas that have always been there. One of the coaches here in Maysville told Maybelle and I that Bertsch was a teacher there, Gross and Reinhart played there and Russell played there so the continuation of 14-14 looks good he says.
