Bradshaw has been gone at least one year.

Here is some clarification for some of you not in the know.

Coach Bertsch - Went to Brossart and teaches in Amelia. No true CC ties.

Coach Bradshaw - Coached 8th grade last year and will probably remain at the Middle School level.

Coach Gross - Played with Coach Russell at CC. It makes sense to me for Russell to bring with him guys he knows and want CC to have success.

Freshman Coach - currently an open position. I am hoping that Coach Maddy returns.

As for RiverDog's post, this group has not been there. They are fresh even if some went to school there. As for record, I guarantee that they are better than 14-14. And I am prepared to eat a buffet of crow if not.

Gross was an assistant at CCHS during the Sullivan years.

That's really setting the bar high?

I was just responding to the mark that RiverDog mentioned above. I fully expect the Camels to be playing in the regional tourney.

I too expect the Camels to have decent year, better than .500.

My point thingee was they keep hiring from the old guard Bersch (I know his mom was employed by the Camels), Gross is another Camel retro, Reinhart is a former playa, and so is Russell. Not a great deal of talent so Id say Scott, Brossart then Camels so may not make region. Maybelle and I think 13-15, 14-14. Take away last year thats about where Russell teams have fared at Newport til the Ohio kid came in ya know.

Should be a tough district to advance from, once again. I think as long as Scott has Kellen Smith, they will be the favorites. Brossart and CC could possibly have a 1st round district game to see who gets to go to The Fieldhouse. Should be interesting.

I see where you are coming from, but the player's abilities and talents matter more than who is trolling the sidelines.

Am I right in saying that the new Athletic Director did not have any hand in hiring coach Russel? Was the new AD hired after coach russel was hired?

To a point but Maybelle always tells junior and peaches "You can't make mountains out of them there motehils ."

Correct, the AD was hired after the coach was hired.

Coach Russell will be a great hire for the program. He is coming from a very tough program to coach in so I think he is prepared for anything. Campbell County is a school that should be way more successful than it is. I dont think they have been to a regional tournament since Coach Sullivan was pushed out. I am happy to see excitement back at Campbell, its been missing for 8 years now. The thing you have to watch out for at Campbell County, if you win a regional championship, 2 years later you might be looking for another job.
