Does anyone know how close to on schedule the games are running today?

 

Game 2 was scheduled for 1pm and I believe didn't get started until 130 or right around there.

Any one know the scores so far?

Coach Myerhoff maybe since he is in charge of the regional this year. It wasn't the Freedom though. I can promise you that.

 

Coach Myerhoff or whoever's in charge of hosting doesn't have that power. I was told the decision was made before the season by three people. Don't want to speculate on who those 3 were but have a fairly good idea.

They ran behind last year with 2 1/2 hours between games. I feel bad for the last two teams who get there at 4:00 for a 5pm game and will probably not start until 6:30 or after.

 

Also, they've moved the championship game to 11 am on Sat. Nothing says regional finals like bp at your school at 8:30 am!!

 

I think some of the coaches have had enough. It's great for the fans and parents out there but more and more coaches have had it.

 

Heard at the games tonight, the championship game time was moved to 12:00 or 12:30 Saturday.

No, now you're speculating. The three happen to be relative within the 9th Region.

Actually they are not off on their guess. While the No. Ky. Baseball Coaches Association set the dates for the tournament (with input from the Freedom management), the gametime for the finals was originally set for 1:00 p.m. Due to scheduling at the field on Saturday (a non-baseball related event I am told but don't know that for certain) the game time was changed by the Freedom management initially to 12 then to 11 and now back to 12 again. I can tell you that the time issue was a major concern of the coaches at the Regional Tournament draw.
