I wouldn't want Jamison shooting 3's on my team really I wouldn't want him playing that position but that has nothing to do with it. To say Lewis is much better is just simply not true at all.

Me either. But, I don't think they can win it because I don't think Mike Brown can coach. In a 7 game series against competitive opponents, you have to be able to make some adjustments and he seems incapable of doing it. Lebron's supporting cast isn't as good as some other teams, like Orlando and LA, but they're much improved. The biggest problem in the supporting cast, IMO, is the lack of a true complement. Most championship teams have at least one other top caliber player to complement their superstar and Cleveland doesn't have it. I disagree with Cats. I think Rashard Lewis a much better player than Jamison.

 

The Celtics have surprised me. I didn't think those guy had enough left in the tank to make a run like this. If healthy and somewhat rested, this team is dangerous because those guys can still play and they've been through the wars.

 

And what planet is that on? They have about the same talent level. Lewis is a better shooter, Jamison is better going to the basket. Neither is much better than the other IMO.

So Lebron didn't have a supporting cast but they had the best record in the league? And now if they lose it's not his fault but the teams fault for not being any good? I'm just trying to make sure we are all on the same page here?

 

 

When the Cavs come back and win this series no one is going to say anything about this again most likely.

I think he partially mailed it in last night. I wouldn't say completely mailed it in b/c he shut down whichever of the two best guards he was guarding on the Celtics the entire game. For some reason he didn't attempt to take the game over offensively. I have a feeling I know why he did it, but I can't say for sure. I do know that when Kobe mailed it in on his team and demanded a trade the owner of his team didn't get down on him and his supporters didn't bail on him.

Ok this is my favorite game to play: Let's assume we say LBJ, Rondo, Kobe, Nash, and Howard are the best players on the 5 remaining teams. You and I get to start picking players from those teams for this years playoffs. What pick would a Cav finally come off the board?

 

You of all people should understand it's impoosible to win a title w/ that talent. They play the hardest during the regular season. That translates into wins in the regular season. When all the teams start playing equally as hard the talent becomes by far the most important.

Nelson is better than Williams. Carter is better than West or Parker. Howard and Shaq isn't a comparison. Pietrus is better than anyone coming off the Cavs bench. I'd rather have Gortat than Z. Where do the Cavs have favorable matchups w/ the Lakers, Celtics, or Magic after Lebron.

 

There isn't one person on the Cavs that can get Lebron a shot. There isn't one person on there own that can create for themselves or anyone else. They're all above average players, but none are really good. I'd love for someone to answer the question I've asked all day:

What I find amusing is that CCC is getting killed on here for being honest. I applaud his realistic view of the game and how LeBron played. Just because someone is a fan of a player or a team doesn't mean we can't be realistic when they do what Bron did last night (quit on his team) IMO. And i'll say this to CCC...I love your passion brother. I have passion to the extreme for only two sports teams -- UK Football (off the charts) and UK Basketball (just a little below the football). Pro sports I love and I love watching the supreme talent, but I just don't have that team in any of the sports that I'm crazy about.

He's injured, and he uses that as a crutch. I didn't want to see it, but it's obvious. He's already counting his money for this off-season as well. He doesn't want to injure the 200 million dollar elbow. And he seems to want the glory without taking any of the responsibility for the losses.

 

LeBron James is good enough to compete for a championship with this roster. It's not as good as the Lakers, or Boston or probably even Orlando, but he has pieces that fit him, scrappy hustlers hitting the boards, Shaq to draw fouls on big men, and shooters. The Cavs were the 2nd best 3pt. shooting team this season. As a matter of fact they were top 5-10 in just about every category.

Obviously no one in the modern era...I'd say the '95 Rockets are the closest. Clyde averaged 20 ppg. Olajuwon was still awesome. Kenny Smith, Same Cassel, Mario Elie, and Big Shot Bob all averaged around 10 ppg that season.

 

Far from an all star line-up.

It's hard to do...and I couldn't do it when I was younger (probably about your age based on reading your posts I have a pretty good feel for your age). It is funny how different watching certain players/teams are when you aren't emotionally engaged. I love watching the Kobe/LeBron debate play out. I'm not emotional at all about either. I enjoy parts of both of their games though. I was really amazed watching last night though, and then his 3 bad games comment was ... WOW. Anyway, as I said...love the passion.

Till the proverbial window is closed on their opportunity.

Clyde Drexler at that stage of his career was far better than anyone LBJ has ever played with. Also, the best player of that era (or any era) was out of the game from a gambling suspension or they would never have won one either. But you kind of helped my argument and that was 15 years ago. Hakeem or Drexler never win one alone. LBJ can't either. Kobe certainly never did and he's a top 5 all timer IMO.
