It blows my mind that you don't understand Williams is supposed to be their 2nd best player and he'd be the 4th or 5th best on the Lakers, Magic, and Celtics. They are a good regular season team b/c they play hard almost every single night. Not all teams do. Also they were 21-4 when Shaq was out. So they were better in the regular season while they were missing a guy logging big minutes in this series.

 

It also blows my mind that as big of a Kobe supporter as you are you don't give Lebron credit when you saw Kobe fail miserably trying to do it alone. Kobe actually had more around him then too.

Here's how good Lebron's teammates are:

 

The Cavs have played 10 games in the playoffs. Lebron has lead them in scoring 8/10. He's lead them in rebounding 8/10. He's lead them in assists 8/10.

Its not that he doesn't have anyone to help him win. Its that he doesn't have another player on that team that can pick up the slack when he is having a bad game. No one else on the Cavs can create their own shot and be consistant. The Cavs are -16 points per game when LeBron is off the floor, the most in the NBA for any player.

 

The Celtics are just a bad matchup for the Cavs. Jamison cant guard Garnett, Mo cant guard Rondo or Allen, and Parker cant guard anyone. LeBron might have one more in him with the Cavs but who knows. I just hope he doesn't come out and miss a few shots and get down early, then just mope around the rest of the game.

I don't know why, it may just be the homer in me, but I think the Cavs are going to play well tonight. I think LeBron is going to be aggressive from the tip, and I think Mo Williams will actually show up. I don't know if it will be enough in Boston, but I think they are going to come out and play hard.

So LeBron is blameless for how he's played this series? Not having superstar teammates is not an excuse to not try. Comparisons aside, LeBron can't really say much for his effort the other night. But that's in the past. If any one player can take his team from a 3-2 deficit and change a series, I'll go with LeBron and not look back. If he comes to play I always feel that the Cavs have a shot.

Maybe he meant playoff games, and if he did then that number isnt way off. I can only think of 3 where he had really bad games. 1 game against the Wizards in 2006 playoffs, game 1 vs. the Pistons in 2007 playoffs when he had 10 points, and Tuesday night.

Not at all. Lebron takes a lot of the blame. Probably all of it that isn't laid at Brown's feet. Brown is supopsed to have the best team yet he acts like he needs to change so they have a chance to win. I think they should go smaller and make Boston outrun them. They've tried going slow and using Shaq. It hasn't worked. Brown panicked in game 5 at home. He used two guys that he didn't use all series in big minutes and didn't use Hickson enough all series.

And what planet is that on? They have about the same talent level. Lewis is a better shooter, Jamison is better going to the basket. Neither is much better than the other IMO.

They aren't horrible, but they aren't very good either. Kobe is phenominal and never did anything like take a team to the finals like LBJ did a few years back. Kobe has 4 players on his team I'd take before taking a Cav. Howard has 3 or 4 players I'd take, and Rondo has at least 3 players I'd take.

 

The biggest argument I think anyone could make against him is does he care enough about losing? Right now I'd say no.

 

Cleveland either needs to add a true complementary star to pair with Lebron, or upgrade their talent level around him. It's not that bad now, much improved, but is it good enough to win at the highest level. :idunno:

 

But, I still say the head coach is where the Cavs have made the biggest blunder. Mike Brown has been fortunate to land a coaching gig with the best player in the league. He wins a lot, because Lebron with a solid supporting cast can breeze through an NBA regular season. But, when the playoffs start and the competition steps up, and you have to beat a team 4 times, you need a coach who can push the right buttons, make a critical adjustment or tweak, and I just don't think Brown can do it. It's a huge disadvantage for the Cavs, IMO.

 

I don't think he made a single adjustment against Orlando in last year's playoffs. And, when he does, it usually isn't a good one, like Lebron guarding Rondo. :idunno:

He has had 2-3 bad games this series regardless of what his numbers may have ended up being in some of those.

I'll be the first one to go out on a limb....The Celtics knock off Cleveland in 6.
