He didn't mention it did he. I think it's great that a Kobe supporter sticks up for Kobe even though he lost game 7 of a playoff series on purpose and demanded a trade b/c his teammates weren't good enough. To me that person ripping Lebron is funny.

Kobe lost a 7 games series on purpose? Even so, I could swear that's what LeBron is doing. The Celtics are playing great, but with the regular season LeBron James I like Cleveland's chances. He's always seems to disappoint in the playoffs.

The best player he's ever played w/ is Mo Williams. Mo Williams isn't very good. Even if they win this series they'll play the next series against a team that has the 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th, and 6th best players in the series. It's hard to win like that. Lebron was actually kind of correct last night. He hasn't had many bad games in the playoffs. When he does they get beat by 30. He held Rondo to 0 1st half points. He got no help. They needed to keep him on Pierce so he doesn't spend too much energy on Defense. I have no idea why he didn't take a ton of first half shots, but I know he has zero help.

 

The only way for Cleveland to win a series like this is for Lebron to did what he did in game 3 at least 4 times in a 7 game series. What he did against Detroit a few years ago and what he does on occasion in these series shouldn't be expected every game. It is really hard for them to win like that. When he's in Chicago next year we'll see how good he really is. If we don't see it the next two games.

Kobe has had a couple of mind boggling performances, similar to what LeBron had last night. I am not sure he lost on purpose though. Same goes for James last night.

 

I really feel LeBron has the pressure of the world on him. He is supposed to win this title. The elbow, deflection of blame, etc. are an added crutch. He just has not developed that killer mentality yet. Maybe it is just a lack of maturity.

 

Greenberg made a good point this morning. Jordan had his fair share of bad games. But even in those bad games, there was no doubting who the Bulls best player was and he would try to fight through it and impose his will. Even if he were unscuccesful. If you knew nothing about basketball and sat in any Bulls game, it was obvious who the man was. If you were put in that arena last night with no knowledge, you may or may not even know he was on the court.

I love how in the regular season every year we hear about how LeBron now has the supporting cast to win and he has no excuses when the team doesn't win, and then when they lose it's because his supporting cast was no good.

The Cavs have had the best team in the NBA during the regular season the past two seasons, and it is not even close. The Magic may have a better supporting cast, but James should overcompensate for a lot of that because his #1 status if far superior to anything else.

SSC, I've been LeBron and the Cavs most loyal supporter over James career and I've used that excuse many times along with countless others. It just doesn't work anymore. Who does Dwight Howard have around him that is that good? Nelson and Williams are comparable. VC's best years are way behind him. Lewis is better than Jamison, but not by that much. LeBron asked for help, and the Cavs have brought it to them to the best of their capabilities.

 

And if LeBron James leaves, that might be the end of my support of him. He has held Cleveland hostage for the last 4 years, and they have given him everything he's wanted. A contract for Boobie Gibson...done. Antawn Jamison?....bam. Shaq....boom! Mo Williams made the All-Star team last year, and even though he's not quite that good, he shouldn't be garbage.

 

But the team plays as LeBron does. He's a great leader when things are going good, but when the team needs him for more than one game, he doesn't deliver. So stay and finish what you started LeBron, or go grab the marketing money in New York or Chicago and be the guy the guy that couldn't win one on his own.

I apologize for making that excuse. LeBron has been great at selling it the past 5-6 years though. You'll never hear it from me again, I don't care if who he plays with.
