May 14, 201016 yr Everyone is piling on Lebron James, but no one seems to want to give the Celtics credit. They played great defense. And BTW, they have 3 guys that maybe Hall of Fame players. They are older, but they know how to play and compete and win. Oh and BTW Rondo played unbelievably well. The Cavs got a horrible supporting cast around James. Bringing in Shaq and Jamison were both bad moves. Cleveland hasn't done anything to get players around James to win championships with. Lebron James has to play unbelievable to win against good teams. I agree. The Celtics played great, especially Rondo. However, LeBron's effort and detachment from game 5 and his inability to impose his will in game 6 were not only eye opening but these were things we have never seen before from LeBron. Not to mention he took an even worse team to the NBA Finals 3 years ago. We have all seen LeBron completely take over games(25 straight 4th quarter points AT Detroit in the ECF's) so we know what he is capable of. It is always shocking when a superstar fails to deliver. This time is no different. Everytime the Lakers lose it's always about what Kobe did or didn't do. It's never about what the other team did. If the Lakers lose to the Suns it will be Kobe's fault. When the Bulls lost in 94 and 95 it was MJ's fault and he was playing baseball. Comes with the territory. Especially when you are The King.
May 14, 201016 yr I was really disappointed in how the Cavs quit at the end. They had a chance to foul Rondo with about a minute to play and extend the game. Granted, making a comeback was a long shot, but when you've had the type of season they had, I'd think you'd fight to the bitter end to turn things around. I thought Lebron was going to turn it on after he hit a couple of treys and cut it to 4, but then he made a couple of careless TO's soon after and let Boston extend the lead and turn the momentum. It's not so much that Lebron lost again, but its how he played in losing. It just didn't seem like he went down giving his best effort in back-to-back games to close out a series that was 2-2. I can never recall MJ not giving it everything he had...and the only time Kobe possibly didn't was the Phoenix game 7 a few years ago. To do it in consecutive games to end a season is not good.

May 14, 201016 yr In his press conference, LeBron hit over and over again that the Celtics had a great game plan, the Celtics' coaches gave them a great game plan, the Celtics game plan kept them on the perimeter. Didn't sound like much confidence in what his coach was trying to do and basically said the Cavs got outcoached. Stating the obvious. That's not news to anyone with a basketball IQ of 1. I think Cleveland's chances of keeping Lebron are better than people are giving, if they get rid of Brown and bring the right guy in to replace him.

May 14, 201016 yr Stating the obvious. That's not news to anyone with a basketball IQ of 1. I think Cleveland's chances of keeping Lebron are better than people are giving, if they get rid of Brown and bring the right guy in to replace him. They can't improve the roster enough. He could realistically go to 3 places and they would be better than Cleveland can be next year. I doubt he goes to Miami to be paid less than Wade. I doubt he goes to the Clippers b/c, well they're the Clippers. Chicago.......
