Make up your minds. I don't recall saying that. I've said over and over that Mo Williams isn't good and that's the best player LBJ has ever played with.
May 12, 201016 yr SSC, I've been LeBron and the Cavs most loyal supporter over James career and I've used that excuse many times along with countless others. It just doesn't work anymore. Who does Dwight Howard have around him that is that good? Nelson and Williams are comparable. VC's best years are way behind him. Lewis is better than Jamison, but not by that much. LeBron asked for help, and the Cavs have brought it to them to the best of their capabilities. And if LeBron James leaves, that might be the end of my support of him. He has held Cleveland hostage for the last 4 years, and they have given him everything he's wanted. A contract for Boobie Gibson...done. Antawn Jamison?....bam. Shaq....boom! Mo Williams made the All-Star team last year, and even though he's not quite that good, he shouldn't be garbage.But the team plays as LeBron does. He's a great leader when things are going good, but when the team needs him for more than one game, he doesn't deliver. So stay and finish what you started LeBron, or go grab the marketing money in New York or Chicago and be the guy the guy that couldn't win one on his own. This is what cracks me up. Shaq is old, Jamison isn't good, Williams is above average, Gibson ha ha. LBJ isn't holding anyone hostage. The owner of the Cavs has made a fortune on that team b/c of LBJ. The excuses for him have run their course indeed, he has enough around him to at the very least get to the finals, they aren't great but it is enough for a player of his calibar to take further in my opinion.
May 12, 201016 yr Despite the performance last night, it would not shock me to see the Cavs still come back and take the series. Though they are playing a team of veteran guys, there is still a reason the Cavs easily had the best record in the NBA. I am not sure if this ratchets up the pressure on the Cavs or if takes it off since most are now writing them off. I am leaning towards the latter... James will have a great game because most are expecting little and people will forget about last night's disaster.

But at the end of the day this series comes down to LeBron. My goodness, if I, possibly the most outspoken LeBron fan in the world, can admit it you should be able to as well. This series hasn't been lost because LeBron has no help. They had the best record in the league. Cleveland has a team of role players who are effective when LeBron is on his game....see game 3. I'm sick of the excuses. I'm tired of defending a guy that isn't going to try to win a championship, and could care less about it. LeBron always storms off the court after the Cavs have been eliminated, promising the next year will be different. How much longer does this garbage have to go on? Last year, the teammates excuse had some legitimacy because they were no match for the Magic. There is no excuse for them to be beat by the Celtics, only the truth. The Big 3, Rondo and the rest of the Celtics understand playoff basketball and leave everything they have out on the court. If LeBron is hitting his shots this postseason, then he will play hard. Outside of that it's like he wants someone else to take over the game, which is both sad and pathetic for the MVP and widely renowned best player in the league.

You obviously aren't either. At least Kobe supporters stick up for their guy no matter what. He can be indicted on rape charges, tank games to prove he has no help, and demand trades and no matter what they have his back. You on the other hand jump ship b/c of one bad game. What did Kobe do before the Gasol trade when he didn't have Shaq? What did Durant do this year? What about Barkley, Ewing, Malone, and a host of other all time greats? Look who Jordan had. Look who Bird and Magic had. You can't do it alone. LBJ was the Cavs leading scorer in the 1st half last night and he didn't make a FG. He was also mainly responsible for Rondo having 0 at the half. When he switched to Pierce he shut him down too and Rondo got going. Do people not understand that Kobe doesn't guard the best players in their series so he can be more efficient on offense? Kobe played a few really bad games against OKC and LA won 2 of those 3 games. LBJ played one bad game and he isn't good anymore. I'm utterly confused. Heck Dwight Howard was a non factor in his first series and they swept. LBJ has an unfair shake at it. If they win it all they were supposed to. If they lose it's all on him b/c he's the best and his teammates are pretty good.
May 12, 201016 yr ^SSC being honest doesn't mean that you're not a homer. I'm not disappointed in him because he played bad or they lost. It's the lack of effort in this series that has killed me. Also you don't know a thing about me, so I don't see how you can question my "fanhood". I guess spending countless amounts of money to go watch the Cavs the last 7 seasons means nothing. I guess defending LeBron and the rest of the Cavs the last few years doesn't make me a fan. So don't tell me about jumping ship. I've been on the LeBron bandwagon for nearly a decade and have never once criticized him. If anything I've went out of my way to create excuses to take up for him. I've grown up following his career and this is the only time I have ever felt like he didn't try. It's not the losing SSC, it's the effort. If you think LeBron played hard in games 2, 4 or 5 you must have been on a wicked acid trip or something. Please show me one time when I have turned my back on LeBron in the past. Did I run and hide last year when they got beat by the Magic? As a matter of fact, I think this is the only time I can remember thinking that LeBron could have done more. The no supporting cast argument just keeps getting worse and worse and is no longer even close to being valid. After your team goes out and gets the players you want them to get and you still aren't winning it's not the supporting cast. I will tell you the main problem with that team. Mike Brown who is just a flat out terrible coach.

But, I don't think they can win it because I don't think Mike Brown can coach. In a 7 game series against competitive opponents, you have to be able to make some adjustments and he seems incapable of doing it. Lebron's supporting cast isn't as good as some other teams, like Orlando and LA, but they're much improved. The biggest problem in the supporting cast, IMO, is the lack of a true complement. Most championship teams have at least one other top caliber player to complement their superstar and Cleveland doesn't have it. I disagree with Cats. I think Rashard Lewis a much better player than Jamison. The Celtics have surprised me. I didn't think those guy had enough left in the tank to make a run like this. If healthy and somewhat rested, this team is dangerous because those guys can still play and they've been through the wars.
