The 1st President to tell younger Americans not to be everything they want to be. Don't go for the American Dream. I know the Obama supporters will not agree with this, but to tell people to go to a certain point and stop is the same as saying do not live up to your full potential. He is saying if you go past his point, the government is going to take it all in taxes.

On Fox this morning they had a quote from Rand's "Atlas Shrugs". This is not word for word, but it was something like this, the person who likes money is respectful, beware of those who dislike money, they are not to be trusted. Maybe someone can supply the proper quote from the book.

That hunk of government cheese in the late 70's and 80's was good stuff.

I don't believe that Obama is a communist. However, I do wonder about the intention of commenting that "I do think at a certain point you’ve made enough money". That comment makes me nervous. Who is to determine when I have made 'enough' money? The government that is run by liars and thieves many of whom are already millionaires? I don't like the idea of restrictive wealth at all. IF you making money honestly, legally and ethically, I don't care how much you make.

Seriously, both sides of the government are getting absolutely beyond ridiculous. They're crazy. It's like the dems are trying to out do the GOP and vice versa.

Are you people able to read a simple english paragraph? Or is it that you are so desparate to paint President Obama as not one of us that you will sieze on any portion of a statement to make up something to be afraid of? Read the sentance that follows the one you are quoting. If you people have legitimate gripes about what this president is doing, go after those. Making this stuff up out of partial statements is ridiculous and intellectually dishonest.

When did he say that if you go beyond a certain point the government is going to take it all in taxes? When did he tell people to go to a certain point and stop? Read the qualifier in the sentence you quoted "I do think". Read the sentence that follows it "But, you know, part of the American way is, you know, you can just keep on making it if you’re providing a good product or providing good service." You made the charges, so please, tell me when he said it. Or is it possible that you made it up?

There are liars and thieves in all walks of life. That includes government, corporate America, education and even the clergy. I also believe that the vast majority of people in all of those fields are good people trying to do the best they can for themselves (first) and the rest of society (second).

But, it's much easier to view him as a foreign born, Muslim, socialist-communist-fascist, hell bent on destroying the US. (Notwithstanding that he is a much more complex individual who has probably angered righties, lefties, and centrists equally.)

He has attempted to make government stronger and the inidividual weaker. He wants more power at the federal level and less at the state level. He wants the government to tax and tax some more to redistribute the wealth to those who earn less. He will trash the Tea Party, but defend those who come into the country illegally. You just refuse to see it.
