It is hard for me to believe that UK had their spring game on Saturday and there has not been one thread nor one post referencing the game on the BluegrassPrep site.

 

A first year coach, a three headed quarterback competition, and lots of other interesting things, but no mention of the game on a site focused on Kentucky sports.

I have been just slammed busy and didn't get a chance to go. I went last year, but just too busy right now. I was relying on some BGP input, but was disappointed that it didn't get any. I think all this excitement with the rebirth of the basketball program took away some of the headlines from the football program.

A nice recap. Apparently Sophomore Donald Russell really stepped up and had a huge game.

I look for Donald Russell to make a huge impact. He will take some of the heat away from D. Locke... I still think the defense and QB situation looks shakey.

I think the D will be okay. They return 7 starters, but did lose some key components. The QBs seem to be settling down and should be fine. I think that having a much improved WR corps will help them.

They saw no love from the NFL draft either.

 

It will definately hurt future recruit classes, knowing that so many Cats were possible high picks and only 1 went inside the top 100 I believe.

 

Lindley, could've bolted his junior year and was projected 1st rounder and Micah Johnson was a top LB in his class and didn't even sign a free agency.

Frankfort's EJ Fields Had the 1st TD on a 21 yard catch. Best of luck to EJ coming off 2 injuries.

Yep. He was the only one in the top 100 drafted. With the premium put on DTs the past several years, this was no surprise that he was the first Cat taken.

I saw the game. I thought Hartline looked bad. Newton looked okay. I thought Massosawki looked okay. Defense looked awful. Joker doesn't do much with the defense.
